Why are flock cameras even a thing?All the arguments in their favour is mass surveillance while the government claims that they are doing "the best" for the people.

Woman falsely accused of causing a fatal car crash with Flock camera data: On October 4th, 2025, I spent the day with my mom at my apartment in Florida. At approximately 1:04 am, 3 deputies from the sheriff's office arrived looking for me. I gave them my information showing where I had been. A Flock automated license plate camera had captured my Dodge Durango 2-3 miles west of the crash scene. Despite this, the investigation continued to focus on me. I was placed in solitary confinement for approximately 3 and a half days.
