Are people saying "oh, the pitchers in trouble here" Or do they see your presence and think "he's got no chance" Hitters spend all waking hours on their swing and zero time on how they carry themselves in the box. Or on deck. Or walking up to the plate. Train how you carry your bat walking up to the plate. Train how you have that slight 'good luck' stare down at the pitcher. Train how you give off 'you better not miss' vibes to the pitcher. Pitchers read it. Coaches read it. Your family reads it. You step in unsure with your head down and you've told them how the at-bat goes before the first pitch. The ones who own the box aren't faking it. TRANSCRIPT: A person who is transgender is someone whose internal sense of their gender—being a boy, girl, or something else—doesn't match their physical body. People who feel this way sometimes feel anxious when they begin to reach puberty and their body starts to change in ways that don't match their internal sense of their gender. These feelings are totally normal. If you feel you want more time to explore how you feel about your gender before your body starts to change, it's important to talk with a parent, counselor, therapist, or doctor about the feelings you have regarding your gender. After some discussion and counseling, you may be referred to an endocrinologist. Dublin City Centre, 9:30pm, 22nd November. Walking home from work. Just 24 hours before the riots. 24 hours before people sought to burn their own city to the ground. Ruin their own services and attack the people who serve them. My thoughts are with the children, woman, entire school, parents and those who bravely stepped in to halt the attack in progress. THAT is who I am thinking of. 🕊️🇮🇪

Our build-up starting from GK is terrible, needs to be fixed —— I already did a thread on that on how to fix it + the thread on FDJ as a libero has a point on how to fix the build-up. We’re too direct, we play one of the CB’s and they try to break 2 lines in finding the CF (Lewa), it’s a high-risk, high-reward move that rarely functions. We need to move their press and make the players more ball-oriented after the first pass from Peña —— try to pin their players in a triangle cage and from there try to carry it/change the play because their 2nd line will be non-existent from the press waves.

Recall a basic lesson from Nietzsche, that every philosophy is basically a confession. He suggested that we don’t begin with reason. We begin with fear, pain, desire, or resentment. Then we build arguments to justify what we already want to believe. That’s one of the main insights in The Genealogy of Morality. Nietzsche also suggests that what we usually call an ad hominem—criticizing the person instead of the argument—is not always wrong. If ideas come from their personal psychology, then understanding the person can help explain the belief. Of course Nietzsche overstated this. And you can turn the logic back on him. You could say, fine, you are making an argument about how people make arguments, so what does that say about you? Fair enough. But the basic idea is useful nonetheless. A lot of grand ideas, especially the ones about human behavior, come from something personal. So if you want to understand a belief system, look at who holds it. Not just what they believe, but why. Now, this doesn’t apply to everything. When you’re talking about physics or astronomy or whatever, there probably isn’t some deep emotional backstory behind an argument about the distance between stars. But when it comes to human behavior, there’s usually something underneath. People don’t build these big intellectual systems for no reason. There’s often a personal story hiding in there.
