Guillermo del Toro DECLARES WAR on AI - Says Users Are Erasing Generations of Real Artists.. I literally dislike this chap. Guillermo del Toro is acting like the biggest gatekeeper in Hollywood. He just fears the competition. He knows that newcomers will outperform him and tell better stories. The people who didn't get a chance before are now finally going to shine like stars. He says... absolutely no goddamn A.I. It's much more expensive? I don't care. You know? Because, well, listen... The thing is, what we're protecting is the beauty and the redeeming power of art. And it's not about who gets the job, it's about, we are protecting a lineage of art. If we cut a generation of people from learning their craft, you're cutting the rest of the history of that medium away from them, for what?

There is something about Rom Braslavski's story that hits the deepest corners of my soul. We've heard stories of suffering and of heroism, and we admire so many people for the strength they've shown. But Rom is beyond all that. Possibly because of his apparent weakness, a person that is evidently not the macho hero, the message really drives through. He lived through two years of hell. And when you listen to him you feel the pain in every cell of his body. It's seeing him that you realize what true horror is, and what Hamas and the palestinians stand for. It's impossible to remain untouched. Impossible to avoid that knot in your throat and the tears welling up. You are the ultimate hero, Rom! May you know only peace and love in your life from now onward! ❤️

And being the teammate that he is and seeing his sacrifices and seeing what he's done his entire career puts him in a position to become a hall of famer. And honestly I wouldn't trade that for the world. Listen to his reasoning why Republicans tend to cling to the whole CRT and cancel culture narrative. Then tell me if you agree. "What would you do if you were out of governing ideas? If you didn't know how to govern a country of this magnitude and a country of this diversity and you are basically running on 'Government is broken," and when you get in office you have to be terrible in order to prove the original premise? It must be great to be able to do what." Why is it that the only policy ideas we are hearing from Republicans appear to be about limiting the rights of people unlike them? How about things that actually help us all thrive? Scaring people into voting, in my mind, is not a winning strategy. Giving them hope is.
