I know Nihal Sarin will get all the blame, but real disappointment is Gukesh. This was the first proper team India played till now in this Olympiad. He was on 4th board, playing the lowest rated Uzbek player with White pieces. Yet he couldn't convert.

Shouldn't there be some sort of protocol against this type of dramatic reaction? It gives away clues to the players about the evaluation of the position. It is a possibility that Nodirbek was going to play another move but noticed the blunder due to Gukesh's reaction.

How did gukesh instantly realised the blunder yet nihal fail to spot it

Did the other 3 players accept the draw too soon? If they had stayed on, one of them could have converted into a winning situation? Just a thought...
