I’m not explaining all that bullshit. Either you trust me or you don’t. If you know enough to ask this question, you know enough to replace it yourself. At that point why am I even there?

I recorded a 31-minute video on how 7-8 figure eCom brands can add $143k using 3 Klaviyo "tweaks". Watch the exact method we used recently with a client. Click below.

ok if your outdoor blower isn't spinning and you think it might be the capacitor, do the stick test. 1) get stick. 2) make sure unit is on and *should* be spinning. 3) "jump start" fan with stick by giving it a whirl. if suddenly your system is working, replace capacitor.

Capacitor is $15 and 5 minutes so DIY or 285 is too much labor

Capacitor cost 10.00 and takes literally 5 minutes to install. Most likely the tech has them lying lose on the vans floor. 300.00 is an absolute scam, even if it is needing replaced. Google any furnace issues and repairs.

You didn’t tell anyone why the cap would be failing 😂 Here’s a tip Keep your coils clean.

Need the @BigDickBarclay take on this

Also a capacitor is like $40-50 max on Amazon and can be swapped yourself - just be sure to follow proper safety protocols to discharge it and ensure power is fully off.

Last time I swapped a capacitor it was like $25 and that's only because I couldn't find a replacement locally.

Hehehehe man said "microfarts" 🤣

Ten dollar part and simple to install

I replaced one on my unit under $10 from Amazon.

Everyone should just buy a spare capacitor and keep it around just in case. $20 and takes like 5 minutes to swap out.

This idiot. Never shows how to check capacitor. Calculator can't test cap. How do you?

But they cost like 30 bucks and are easy to replace yourself.

Condenser unit capacitors like $20 or less. If they are trying to charge you $300 just for a capacitor, they are scamming you and the capacitor is perfectly fine.

Be careful if you try diy. It isn’t hard but there is some real knock your dick in the dirt voltage in there.

Or just test and replace it yourself for like $20.

Being slightly out of spec will have a negligible effect on the life of the compressor. What he is telling you is correct is actually the hustle. You replace the capacitor when the compressor stops kicking on because the capacitor is blown. This remind me of a post claiming private equity companies were buying up HVAC companies in cities and fixing prices. It wouldn't surprise me if this video was part of a scam where they offer free inspections of the hvac unit as part of a home warranty or something. Parasites.

You can easily get a replacement on Amazon designed for multiple units "spec". There are many videos on youtube that explain how to replace it. Its very much a DIY possible repair.

In his example, he has a dual capacitor. One value is 45 UF (micro farad) and a 5 UF. With a plus or minus 6% tolerance. So 45 plus or minus 2.7 and 5 plus or minus 0.3. (42.3 - 47.7 UF And 4.7 -5.3 UF)

I bought and replaced a bad capacitor like that a couple years ago… it cost me about $30 and took me about 15 minutes to replace. $300?! Please explain that to me

And then spend $15-$ 35 to replace it yourself. It's so cheap and easy. Just turn off the power so you don't kill yourself lol.

Shit most of the time it just takes a look at it. If the top is blown up, it’s bad.

lol most of this new shit are going to have inverters good luck home owners

Techs get paid to know how to solve the problem, not just for materials.

The capacitor is so cheap I bought a spare so I can replace it myself if there's ever an issue. I think it was $50 or something like that.

My AC guy replaced it at cost (showed me receipt) last time it failed. But my AC/mechanical guy is a badass and I had to give him a gift card to his favorite restaurant because his prices were so fair and his work was so good and he refused a tip.

We charge 450 in so cal

Ha, window AC go brr

I always show my clients that its blown out and reading zero. Maybe I'm doing it wrong 300$?

Replace the part first, get them cooling then collect the money and go onto the next one
