It's a perfect illustration of how to reboot something well known with a fresh twist.. Both are excellent, but that first movie takes some topping..

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) deserved to be the middle chapter of a much longer series. Guy Ritchie’s kinetic direction, RDJ and Jude Law’s chemistry, and Jared Harris’ Moriarty left the door wide open for another adventure that never came.
