Sherlock Holmes (2009) I'm unashamedly a fan of Guy Richie's World's Greatest Detective. Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic, amazing score by Zimmer, incredible fight scenes, and James Herbert's editing is a masterclass. I've stolen so much from Herbert, I probably owe him money.

It felt like 2023 was turning a corner for Downey after winning the Oscar. I thought we’d get more films like Sherlock Holmes. Instead? A return to a world he already knows (and a return to the bank for RDJ).
