Guy won $69,420 in a lawsuit

The problem is this. You go to court and prove you're right. Nothing happens to them. Even if you win money. It doesn't affect anyone in any way who you were suing. They pay for it out of our tax money. There has to be a way to make THEM feel it as much as we would have felt it.

Something like this just happened to me. I was sitting at a stop sign, and a cop came to the intersection. He didn't have a stop sign, but stopped anyway. I gestured the WTF sign, but he didn't move, so I crossed the intersection, thinking he had some other issue. He whipped in behind me, pulled me over, and told me I ran the sign. I told him to check his camera because this was going to court. He took my License and went to his car. He came back and told me this was just a warning; the asshole must have looked at his camera and realized he was wrong. He could have said, "Sorry, you were right," but he couldn't get over his own Cop ego to admit he made a mistake.

If you cost tax payers this much money you should be fired and fined.

Cops are crooks with badges protected by judges. And they all suck each others dicks.

These settlements need to be funded directly from the police pension fund. Only then will this bullshit stop.

Don’t tell him you have a dash cam and then threaten him with it. Let him accuse you and then go to court with the video and sue him

The sad part is, like others have probably mentioned. The lawsuit money essentially just comes out of the tax payer money that the government steals from you. So the cops don’t care, it should come from their pensions directly.
