@Mlu__N2 Scammer 101 Step 1: Have good English Step 2: Use your hands like Andrew Tate Step 3: Take what Americans say on their podcast and repeat back on SA podcasts.

@Mlu__N2 sure it’s really not a great example to explain his point… BUT I can see what he probably intended & meant leverage as a concept (within a risk strategy) is incredibly powerful

@Mlu__N2 "Hi bank. I'd like to leverage this money 100:1. No, I don't have the equivalent amount in collateral. I want to make that much and you will carry the risk. Hello? Hello?"

@Mlu__N2 Never mind the borrowing, our economy is not allowing any of this instead we r stuck with properties that we can’t even sell with the same value we bought them for. It’s insane and an old tale

@Mlu__N2 Is there a bank in SA that would give a black person a loan of R100m though? You see, educated black people are a problem, I swear 🤣🤣

@Mlu__N2 You see how dangerous clips are when taken out of context. If you were to listen to the full context, you would understand that this wasn't about houses but rather an explanation of 'leverage' using a context that is understandable to everyone.

@Mlu__N2 This is the problem with short clips, you didn’t include the context of the question. I’m not a fan of his but this is just misleading.

@Mlu__N2 Financial institution being a broker when trading forex, Not a bank when you're borrowing money. But he's using "buying property" For everyone to understand instead of currencies, indices or other traded instruments.

@Sihle_NzimaGP's profile picture
@Sihle_NzimaGP3 years ago

@Mlu__N2 It’s theoretical because in reality no financial institution will grant you a 100bar loan on a 1 bar margin.

@Mlu__N2 He has a point but feudiciary effect is such that you must demonstrate ability to return that money as in assets elsewhere should be liquidatable to cover that should the market condition on the primary agreement be adverse for the duration of the loan service period.

@Mlu__N2 Talk is very cheap! The reality is totally different from what is said here! I promise you! I wonder which institution is going to give a black businessman R100 million?

I’m too-melow!!'s profile picture
I’m too-melow!!3 years ago

@Mlu__N2 The bank looks at how much monthly income you have available in order to repay your mortgages. So even if you have a million rands but no monthly income they will decline your application. That million does not guarantee them that you’ll be able to meet your monthly repayments.
