Yes! When I was disabled after a virus in 2001, I spent over a decade in a “heal the sick” kind of church where I fasted for healing for 10, 21 & 40 day stretches. It nearly killed me. The depth of healing Imani has given me to combat my own internalized ableism is immeasurable.

Much appreciation towards you as well.

And people are desperate to not be disabled because they see how badly disabled people are treated. It takes a long time to stop fighting your body and start fighting for your rights.

It should also be noted that the man she says is her doctor “treating” her long Covid isn’t an MD, but she uses medical terminology to make it seem like he is.

I think it should worry all of us that Long Covid does not care if you are rich or poor and even the rich people don’t have a drug or solution.

Wasn't starvation also used to "treat" tuberculosis at one time? I could swear I've read that before. I know theyve tried it with some cancers.

Eating PLENTY of gentle healthy foods is not a bad idea when you're recovering. Eating one meal of "paleo vegetables" is not that. If you think you feel shitty from LC inflammation, all the feeling shitty of starvation isn't going to register the same way!

You’re totally absolutely completely tragically right. The internalised ableism/disableism kept me spending £££s and being further injured for years. The desperation not to give in came from inside as much as outside. Only ended when I was so bad I couldn’t get to appointments.

What kind of doctor is that? Long covid caused by autoimmunity & lingering virus. Diet is not gonna fix that
