If there's a water bottle, towel, bag, etc, it means someone is using it. It's a big fucking gym, find some other piece of equipment to use. People play stupid but mostly just assholes.

as someone who works at gyms fưck your workout tbh. some of you get wierd about it. nobody cares. plus people leave water bottles, phones, keys and all that stuff on accident all the time.. if you are not back at the machine in 1 min or 2 max u dont got it.

Not always I’ve seen people using one machine and leave water bottle at another to claim both machines and they switch in between set I just take watever they not using idc

No. It's kind of like getting out of line from the grocery store to go Get something and then come back. People don't have all day.They need to get into the gym. Do their routine and get out.

If you needed the water bottle to show the machine is in use, then it is obviously not in use. Water bottles do not run on treadmills and the best use of everyone's time is to not let machines sit idle.

Basic common sense will always be abused. Someone stepping away briefly, makes sense. Someone "claiming" it so that is available when they are, for example, done on another machine. It would just be better if people were civilized.

Nope if your at the machine, it's your machine, if you leave it, even if you leave a water bottle or towel, you wait if someone else is using it.

Hell no. That's why I urinate around the treadmill I want as soon as I walk into any gym. Everybody knows that's MY treadmill. It's a dog-eat-dog world.

Not that big of a deal tbh. If I see a towel or water bottle or something, I assume someone may just be getting water or something. And I'll move onto another exercise. If its still there after I'm done with the next exercise, I'll use it.
