@pearlythingz @michaeljknowles Maybe it should be mandatory in a divorce proceeding when child support is introduced.

I want to tell a personal story….. The stat is 30%. That’s the number of children born to men who did not father them. At 35 my mother, on her death bed, wrote a letter to me to telling me that the man I knew to be my father, wasn’t. You might think this isn’t big news, but it’s horrible to find that out. I grew up with my mother allowing my siblings to make jokes about being the milkman’s son, that I was the weird one. That affects you your whole life. I’m sure on some level my mother loved me, but was always ashamed. I am blonde haired blue eye and less than 6ft. My sibling are the opposite. At 35 I was handed a letter and given a choice. Keep my mother’s secret, or tell everyone and ruin her reputation. I decided to speak up. And you would think the people would be supportive. The opposite is true. What happens is you get to bare her guilt for her. You become the pariah, your “dad” looks at you with the contempt that should have been hers. Your siblings attitude towards you is righteous justification for the ridicule they aimed at you. Her friends and family will tell you you shouldn’t have spoken up. That it’s wrong to speak ill of the dead. You can’t ask anyone for advice, no one knows how to react. I will also tell you how women react. You can always tell the women who have some doubt about the father of one of their children, they all have the same look of anger and shame run across their face, if even for a brief moment. So no Michael, you are absolutely wrong here. 100% all births must be DNA tested. Especially when we aren’t talking about married couples anymore. And so much is at stake for these men. @pearlythingz is correct here

@pearlythingz @michaeljknowles Sorry Michael is wrong here. A DNA test only serves to protect the innocent, especially the child.

Michael Knowles takes an important abstract topic and makes it personal & petty and that’s supposed to be the more intelligent mature perspective?

@pearlythingz @michaeljknowles There should be IQ tests for podcasters & influencers.

@pearlythingz @michaeljknowles I agree with Pearl. We used to test for STDs for marriage. And a dna test is super non invasive just needs a little spit.

@pearlythingz @michaeljknowles If you google studies. between 4% to 35% of men are not the father of the kids they think are theirs If you married a virgin, obviously, the kid is yours. Hence, men's aversion to female promiscuity. But most men today are not marrying virgins...

@pearlythingz @michaeljknowles 1. Pearl doesn't know what "mandatory" means. 2. That being said, I agree with her general premise. A 'before you leave the hospital' paternity test ensures you're going home with your child. Plus. Baby-switching is a thing.

@pearlythingz @michaeljknowles A woman who has never given birth tells the world what should be mandatory during birth. Amazing!
