Had so much fun making a little web connected interactive desktop device with Claude Fable 5.1. Completely blown away by the design and craft of this model! Shoutout to Steve Ruiz for the nudge to play with ESP32 devices like this as well. Everyone needs to tinker.

For folk wanting to do this, they only cost like $30 and you can have so, so much fun with them!

@claudeai @steveruizok They're the best! I've been working on a tool for creating UIs for E-Ink displays, Small OLEDs, and actually generating Dot Fonts for them (actual fonts) So much fun.

@claudeai @steveruizok Niece! Love dot fonts!

@claudeai @steveruizok Lovvvee this! Working on my own ESP32 project as we speak :)

@claudeai @steveruizok Already sent dozen of reports about claude desktop for linux and several bugs that completely removed all recent threads from the interface itself. The threads are saved but desktop can't find and or open that anymore. FIX YOUR STUFF ...

@claudeai @steveruizok Just a crazy ask throwing this out there... could the good people of @AnthropicAI expose some endpoint with all the usage stats so my project here can stop sending "hi" requests to Haiku to read the usage response headers?

@claudeai @steveruizok Here's mine

@claudeai @steveruizok Beautiful! Did you use Claude Design for the UI or did Claude Code do all of this?

@claudeai @steveruizok Claude code did all of it!

@claudeai @steveruizok how did you prompt it to get this style of design? reminds me of nothing

@claudeai @steveruizok Practice + taste + voice mode + yapping

@claudeai @steveruizok love it

@claudeai @steveruizok Been having so much fun with different ESP-32 devices! A lot of fun designing hardware to put them in.

this is very cool! i'm curious how you filmed it? is this a greenscreen and the device affixed to something... somehow?

It's all straight out of camera, I just stuck the screen to a little pole. Will share a pic of the setup in a sec

Here you go!

ooooh ty i'm working on sth similar just more lo-fi this gives me ideas

@claudeai @steveruizok Love it!

@claudeai @steveruizok TY!

@claudeai @steveruizok Wonderful.

@claudeai @steveruizok This is so cool! Side question, how are you keeping it so stable on your desk for the video?

@claudeai @steveruizok tinkering with tech like that is a blast, but it can also be a time sink

@claudeai @steveruizok ❤️

@claudeai @steveruizok Tinkering is fun, but the "everyone needs to" part overlooks how steep the ESP32 learning curve is for beginners. What’s the one thing you’d tell someone starting from zero?

@claudeai @steveruizok No surf report?!

@claudeai @steveruizok I’m scared of sharks

@claudeai @steveruizok Love this. Totally agree, more people need to just build cool stuff.

@claudeai @steveruizok Very beautiful and tasteful

@claudeai @steveruizok Totally agree with this

@claudeai @steveruizok Was hesitating for weeks with this, now it's ordered and arriving soon.

@claudeai @steveruizok this is super cool!

@claudeai @steveruizok is that little screen device being suspended by the cable itself?

@claudeai @steveruizok Running perception and voice on an ESP32-S3 for a shipping robot taught me the real bottlenecks aren't FLOPs. It's all memory bandwidth and thermals. The firmware scars are real.

@claudeai @steveruizok Nice ! Would you be willing to share the repo? I am trying to do stuff hust like this with the same waveshare device!

@claudeai @steveruizok That F1 integration is amazing! I just got mine and am a complete beginner so hoping to do something similar

@claudeai @steveruizok Yeah there’s so many cool open API’s for F1!

@claudeai @steveruizok This is insanely cool... what a beautiful little device 🔥

@claudeai @steveruizok Looks good 👍

@claudeai @steveruizok Unbelievable! Is your code open?

@claudeai @steveruizok

the slow zoom is for you xoxo

@claudeai @steveruizok Love the ux so much. I tried to do something with it and is just not even close to this :/

@claudeai @steveruizok You put that screen to good use. The classy cable is a nice touch too. Bet it’s nice to have unlimited fable usage 😂

@claudeai @steveruizok I used my personal account for this!

@claudeai @steveruizok Respect! Just teasing anyway
