“Live From” any of the big 5 events is must see TV. I could listen to Rich, Brandell, and Paul talk golf and that week’s event all day. Tonight’s segment with Hal Sutton ran the gamut of emotions from the high of out dueling Tiger in 2000, to the low of the Ryder Cup loss in 04.

Imagine having taken down both Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods head to head. Holy cow. Great career, and one iconic shot that has lived on for the last 25 years. What a great player and ambassador for the game.

That was a fantastic segment. I remember that 2000 “Be the right club today” moment. I was in Myrtle Beach on a golf trip with my buddies and we watched in the bar at the clubhouse with a crowd of other golfers. We, I’m sure, will never forget it. Hal Sutton is the real deal.

Remember it well. One of great moments in golf.
