The meatpacking monopoly is a national security threat. Four foreign-backed giants—Tyson, Cargill, JBS (Brazil), National Beef—control 85% of beef processing. Ranchers get 30 cents per retail dollar while these cartels inflate prices. The Farmer Bridge Assistance Program isn’t a handout—it’s a lifeline for producers crushed by decades of rigged markets. Section 2 of the Lower Grocery Prices Act forces GAO to audit grocery price manipulation, exposing how middlemen exploit both farmers and families. DOJ’s antitrust task forces are dismantling input cartels (seed, fertilizer) that strangle ranchers. America First means breaking foreign-controlled choke points—profits stay here, not offshore.

@POTUS This is what ranchers have been warning about for decades. Concentration at the processing level is the choke point not cattle supply. If we don’t rebuild regional processing and producer leverage, nothing changes. Glad to see this finally being called out.

China is prevalent in meat packing plants nationwide. Smithfield employs mostly foreigners. Please also put focus on that. Sioux Falls SD is just one example. China bought out Morrells and now very few locals are employed there. It was a staple of the community. My grandfather worked there and retired with Morrells.

We don’t want their beef. We want USA beef that it used to be back in the 50s 60s through the 90s we knew where our beef came from.
