You only have full control of your eyes. You can close it but that doesn’t close the SFX

Don't know if this counts because it only happens in the dark. Things peaking at me from behind a table or a chair or around a corner. Even when just looking into a dark room. Never the same shape. Always direct eye contact. Less frequently when I got older but still happens.

Nothing can beat the fucking chair jumpscare though
