Finnish President Stubb: Russia has been waging its war of aggression against Ukraine for almost four years. Its actions are illegal and immoral. We are closer to peace than ever during the war, but at the same time we cannot be sure whether Russia is ready for peace. Peace is most often a compromise, and we must prepare for the fact that all parts of a peace agreement will likely not meet our sense of justice. However, we will do everything we can to ensure that Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity are preserved. Ukraine is part of a free and democratic Europe now and in the future. We will continue to support Ukraine, we will not tire, and together with our allies we will ensure that Russia will never again attack its neighbor.

If the international community is really sincere about disarming Hamas and granting Gaza a new future, then they have to stop treating Hamas as a political entity and understand that it is a terrorist militia. The only way to make a terrorist group disarm is through military power. The only party that can effectively use military power to disarm Hamas is Israel... Yes, Israel, which you have tied its hands in the hope that terrorists will comply with diplomacy! It is amazing that some people still believe Hamas when they say they will dissolve and leave the government in Gaza! Hamas has already lost the government in Gaza since October 7. Hamas made this deal because they knew the wrath of President Trump was coming on January 20th. But this is a flawed deal and it's not going to result in long term peace for the region. There will not peace in Gaza until Hamas is completely destroyed.

Hamas' biggest fear is not Israel, but the people in Gaza. Hamas knows that the moment they fully disarm and give away their tunnels and hideouts, the people in Gaza (including anti-Hamas militia and even ordinary people) will take violent revenge on them. It seems that the Board of Peace is finally able to see the light about the situation in Gaza. During my recent visit to Washington, I said that Donald Trump is the greatest friend that Israel has ever had in the White House. And President Trump shows that friendship each and every day. He has shown it through his visionary plan for Gaza, this is a plan which Israel fully supports. He's shown it by sending us all the munitions that were being held up. This way he is giving Israel the tools we need to finish the job against Iran’s terror axis. And he has shown it by fully backing Israel and putting the pressure to release the hostages where it truly belongs – on Hamas. Israel has accepted President Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff's plan to extend the temporary ceasefire by 50 days, during that time we can discuss the conditions for a permanent ceasefire that will end the war in Gaza. In Witkoff’s plan, half of the hostages would be released right away and the remaining half would be released if we reach an agreement on a permanent ceasefire. Again, Israel has accepted this plan. I accepted this plan. But so far, Hamas has rejected it. Hamas had also put forward positions for a permanent ceasefire that are totally unacceptable. Israel has decided to stop letting goods and supplies into Gaza, something we've done for the past 42 days. We've done that because Hamas steals the supplies and prevents the people of Gaza from getting them. It uses these supplies to finance its terror machine, which is aimed directly at Israel and our civilians – and this we cannot accept. We will take further steps if Hamas continues to hold our hostages. And throughout this, Israel knows that America and President Trump have our back. Thank you again, President Trump! Thank you for all you are doing to return our hostages, bolster our security and provide a future of prosperity and peace for all the peoples of the Middle East.
