All 7 soldiers burned to death inside and the fire was so intense that the vehicle apparently had to be buried in sand, then towed back to Israel and then the fire finally put out by a firetruck.

Around 15 Hamas terrorists took part in the assault, which left several IDF soldiers wounded. The attack unfolded in the early morning hours when the terrorists infiltrated the outpost and engaged soldiers at point-blank range inside the living quarters. The video also shows the use of tunnels during the raid. Hamas confirms that eight of its members were killed in the operation. Toward the end of the footage, one fighter dressed in black declares he is preparing for a “suicide operation.” According to Hamas, he was a suicide bomber who participated in the attack.
