Hang on, Shadow! 🦅💨 Beloved Big Bear bald eagle Shadow braved powerful wind gusts to protect her eggs on Saturday. Gusts reached as high as 63 mph in the mountains around Big Bear Lake.

It's amazing what they put up with up in their tiny home.
Our bald eagles who lived on top of a power line poll down the street raised two babies there last year. The two left in the summer, but mama is back in the nest.

have been watching them for years, even before they became "famous" 📺 a wonderful close-up of daily activities - educational & certainly entertaining and sometimes, heartbreaking, as they lost the 1st clutch 1/30😢 but they are a strong, healthy pair and here we are💚
