Just as reminder - As if it weren’t disgusting enough on its own that Hank brought up Dr. Wolfe’s wife in open court, this was on the heels of the April 28 voir dire where Dr. Wolfe explained that his wife and children had been harassed because of comments Hank had made about him in court. He said it was a very difficult time for his family. Hank knew exactly what he was doing and chose to put Dr. Wolfe’s family in danger again, all with the intention of prosecuting a woman that he knows is factually innocent.

Dr Wolfe said there’s a direct correlation between the time of day and pedestrian fatalities. Brennan reads this in court and says “that would have been nice to have”. Here’s Dr Wolfe saying exactly THAT during his direct testimony in the first trial. Then, when Dr Wolfe says a lot of his cases involve pedestrians, Brennan says “pretty important stuff in this case”. Yep. That’s why Dr Wolfe testified to that at trial. Then, Brennan suggests that the defense doesn’t want Dr Wolfe to testify to that, doing his dramatic little “shh, don’t tell them”. Funny, Alan Jackson is the one asking these questions and Dr Wolfe is obviously not hiding anything. Jackson said he talked to the ARCCA and experts about background- for example, his nighttime visibility work and his cases frequently involving pedestrians- and scheduling. Brennan just misrepresented ALL of this, plus told the judge that the defense didn’t turn this over, the feds did- which was not true and he had to correct himself after the judge ended things for the day. If you can’t see what he’s doing yet, you just don’t want to.

SIXTEEN is the number of times Hank Brennan badgered the witness—repeating the same question 16 times, despite Dr. Wolfe providing an answer the first time… and every subsequent time. What does the disgrace of a Judge do? She joins in with Brennan, badgering the witness yet another time, because apparently the first fifteen weren’t enough. A competent Judge is supposed to shut down such conduct when it occurs the first time, but most certainly upon the first “asked and answered” objection by opposing counsel. ———— HOW IT WENT DOWN: *This is after a solid 5+ minutes of Hank badgering Dr. Wolfe with this same question.* Alan Jackson: “Objection! JUST IN: Here is the video of Karen Read leaving court after the first day of defense testimony in the John O'Keefe and Karen Read re-trial. Karen lost her motion for a directed verdict and Hank Brennan shined on cross. Karen won't be calling Michael Proctor, although she may not be able to get his text messages into evidence unless he takes the stand during the defense's case. Judge Cannone is expected to issue a ruling on Monday as to whether the defense must call Proctor to the stand in order to introduce his text messages. The defense wants to call Proctor's friends to get the text messages into evidence, but that ran into a hearsay objection from Hank Brennan (and an end-of-day motion hearing on that issue). The defense is unlikely, if they are forced to call Proctor in order to get the texts into evidence, to do so, as Read's lawyers would be forced to ask open-ended questions of Proctor on direct (and Hank Brennan could then ask Proctor leading questions on cross).

At a November 13, 2024 pretrial hearing (below), Brennan confirmed he’d already hired reconstructionist Judson Welcher. This was during the hearing where the Commonwealth was seeking the court’s permission to allow Shanon Burgess to conduct testing on the Lexus telematics system with the aim of acquiring relevant vehicle data. I watched this now twice. Whether Hank meant to do it or not for the first 24 minutes, Hank knocked Mr. Dan off his pedestal, let the air out of his over inflated ego, and turned a once smug, borderline, arrogant defense lackey, into a much more humble and slightly nervous, Mr. Dan. The final blow to his overinflated sense of self, occured around 23:50. To say Mr. Wolfe was caught off guard when Hank presented him with the screenshot of his wife’s Facebook page, is an understatement. A personal FB account where she very publicly affirmed her membership in one of the “Free Karen Read” Facebook groups. Dan Wolfe lost a bit of color in his face at that moment, and from that point on, appeared like a scared little boy, rather than an obnoxious, and cocky grown man. I’m looking very forward to Monday. Hank was brilliant! #karenread is DUNZO! #JusticeForJohnOkeefe is coming! 💙

On a scale of 1 to 10, how dishonest was Hank Brennan in court last week for the Daubert-Lanigan hearing on Dr. Marie Russell’s expertise in dog bites? I got and have been going through the dog bites book, that he so desperately hid behind, so you don’t have to. This book was an interesting choice for Brennan to prop up and rely upon given much of the information contained within is largely supportive of and beneficial to the defense’s case, and conversely—quite damaging to the Commonwealth’s case. In fact, I don’t think it’s possible that Hank Brennan even read through this book, because if he had, he never would’ve used it. In my next few posts, I’ll be comparing passages from the book alongside Hank Brennan’s representations made in court. It’s unclear what Brennan’s intentions are, but if last week’s hearing is any indication, they don’t appear to be honest or interested with the truth. Unfortunate for Mr. Brennan—he likely didn’t foresee that Daubert hearing going longer than an entire day (clearly he hadn’t seen Dr. Russell’s CV yet), and likely didn’t account for the substantial gap in time whereby the defense & Dr. Russell can fact check his claims—something that can’t really be done on the spot—before the next hearing. Apparently he thought he could make things up on the spot as a form of impeachment material, not accounting for the fact that the defense and Dr. Russell now can, and should, confront his blatant misrepresentations and deceptions with the court at the next hearing. Talk about a reverse uno card! Imagine impeaching oneself in the process of desperately attempting to impeach someone else’s credibility? That is the Commonwealth’s case. #KarenReadTrial
