Happy birthday Gregg Allman 🙏🏻

This death hit me hard. I have read his book twice already. So honest and raw. Such a talent gone way too soon.

Gregg would have been 77 today. As musically prolific as his life was he was damaged by his brother Duane's death and then Barry Oakes death a year later just a few blocks from where Duane died, both in motorcycle accidents. Tragedies that Gregg endured lay the path for his own tragic life. Was honored to have met and partied with him a few times. The talent that ran through his veins was unparalleled. Gregg was a truly, truly nice guy and down to earth who really loved his fans. Whipping Post Fillmore East 9/23/1970

Wow! At the birthdays today!

One of the 43 times I saw the Allman Bros. My ex-wife, myself and our friends, Mike and Mary Kay were 16th row center for this show… the finale of the ‘91 Summer Tour. It was Mike and Mary Kay’s 4th anniversary. Still married. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Gregg!

My perfect day is on a boat with a bottle of Buffalo Trace and a good cigar kicking back and just listening to the Allman Brothers the entire time, Thank you Gregg Allman 🙏

Happy BDay, Gregg. You and your bandmates opened a new sound to the world of rock music. Southern Rock was sweet, smooth, warm and still made us jump up and groove to the new sounds. ABB music still rocks the world.
