This was recorded in my studio in NY- I often put the Joni Hejira book up on the piano for inspiration and to keep me focused.

The man’s age is in the 80s but his hands are those of a still young artist. (Joni looking on there is a cool touch too.) Happy Birthday, Garth! 🎂🎶🎶

He’s playing for Hejira! He played for me, too. When I played it back for him, he said, “That’s very interesting what you did with your machine.” Garth forever!

Happy Birthday Garth son was inspired by you watching The Last Walz and is now a jazz musician.I remember your haunting finish to It Makes no Difference .Superb.

When was this recorded? I understood that he was quite ill and had stopped playing. This is very encouraging.

Recorded at my studio in the Hudson Valley in 2017. Garth is still playing well and remains the living legend.
