At the beginning of the pandemic, so many people happily told me it’s only the old and sick who are at risk. I told them they were talking about me, and essentially telling me to my face they’re cool with me dying. Sudden realisation hits that they’re talking about real people.

Yeah! we definitely live in the worst dystopia ever. I love the way a lot of people think they are invulnerable to a mutant virus that adapts to each treatment and weakens the immune system.

They celebrate as if they actually abided by epidemiologist, virologist, etc recommendations…like they haven’t spent the last 3 years going to super spreader events (concerts, sporting events, large public parties, etc) anyways 🙄🙄

As someone who still masks and lives with a newly transplanted liver patient (who is on a TON of immune suppressing drugs) this is literally everything I feel put into words. People only care at their convenience, the most vulnerable are always doing the entire group project.
