One cannot appreciate what a mama cat endures raising kittens outside under a shed or in a cardboard box until it becomes your personal responsibility. These guys mama got into my garage birthed them, got them cleaned up but couldn't nurse them as all her teats were necrotic due to infection. I heard noises that sounded like children in the distance. Started searching and found them under a rack. I got them out with a spatula and after biting me a couple of times got mama in a cage and off to emergency vet but she was beyond help..2 passed from infection trying to nurse on the infected teats but this big boy made it.
