Happy Friday for real!! 🤣🕺💃

Here’s the nitty-gritty dance circa 1964!

Imagine dancing this well in a suit!

I like this one better.

Just an F.Y.I.? This dance is called "The Nitty Gritty" and most dancers danced to the song made for it. The male dancer, Stephen, and his usual partner, Chanzie, helped reignite interest in this dance. Here is a link to them showing how it's done:

Weekend already smells like freedom and good music!

Indeed it does!! Enjoy 😉

When you’re retired, that’s what it feels like on Monday mornings, watching your neighbors head off to the grind.

Groovy, baby.

Need those times again!! Everyone was so happy and carefree. Different world then. What the heck happened to us? Or rather, what did we let happen?!?!

Love these times!

I prefer the original score for that particular dance.

Someone please tell me who sings this song? Reminds me of my much younger years at the roller skating rink.

FELIZ VIERNES🥳

That was great!, thank you!

You’re very welcome ☺️

Stephen Sayer and Chandrae "Chanzie" Roettig

Patrick Hernandez - Born to Be Alive (1979)

this makes me happy

"Born to be Alive"

I think that’s this guy!

Nothing hotter than a guy that has the moves on the dance floor ❤️

Wonderful clip. Thanks for the entertainment!

You’re very welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!

To most of you under 30 you are watching your grandparents 😂😂

Haha, I have that song on 12 inch vinyl.

Total awesomeness at its very best. Thanks for sharing, Luce!!!

I like the version with the pig and the crazy guy better.

20 years before the song came out and they already had the dance moves down pat lolz🤪🕺💪🥳

Let’s go!

I love to watch this and imagine which lucky lady the one man will choose tonight. He believes himself to be…maybe rightly so…a hot bachelor. So I’m thinking the lady in the white dress on the left. The black tank top girl is trying.

TGIF Lucy!!! 🎉

Happy Friday!! 💃😁

Go, Luce, go!!! 💃🕺
