In their quest to become modern, they are willing to be this. Not sure why would anyone be envious of them. Maybe except for their pay packets.

This proves that getting good education and doing good jobs doesn't means better life sense and values. Unfortunate to see such condition of so called educated and smart people.

Bangalore new year scene hasn't changed since 1998 (may be even before that as I got there in '98). Many comments imply as though its something recent and new. B'lore isn't the City of Pubs for no reason. Also, looks like women still find it safe to drink here. Glad for that.
