I’m not crying 😭 This reminds me of when my stepson came out. We already knew, and his dad tried to stop him from having to say it by telling him we already knew and loved him no matter what. But he said he had to say it. He had to make it official, so we let him speak his truth, hugged him, and went back to normal life. It felt important that we went back to normalcy. I’m so glad he had that chance to speak his truth and have his dad accept it, because his dad died a year later. Since then, I have welcomed the entire gay community of my city into my world and WOW!! What a fabulous place to be… 🌈🌈🌈
