Would you like to see Martin Freeman in a Blakes 7 comedy? Here you go - Blakes Junction 7:

The people have spoken, and the fraud is falling to pieces! See the truth in Protocol 7, the riveting thriller now streaming exclusively on

Kerr Avon is one of the greatest characters in all of tv not just sci-fi. Paul Darrow was brilliantly menacing

I had forgotten just how theatrical it was. Growing up, I took this to be how everyone was supposed to speak, and for some part many did. It was only when I saw The Sweeney and The Long Good Friday that this impression was challenged.

Even Servalan's threats sound like a seduction.

Favorite Avon line: Villa: Do you have anything for a headache? Avon: Have you considered amputation?

Great ideas, brilliant characters, some poor SFX even for the time.

All timer

I walked round the main set of Blake 7 as my sister was a BBC production person. When I saw it on the box later it looked so sharp and sophisticated. Wonderfully pretentious and was up there with Dr. Who for adults.

I've rewatched it this year, its really good, the dialogue is brillant.

As I feel duty bound to mention, whenever Blake’s 7 gets mentioned. My girlfriend of the time in the late 80’s worked at a provincial M&S and sold Servalan a bra.
