My favorite use of tax dollars: the GOES geostationary weather satellites One stares at the pacific ocean, another at the americas and the atlantic. Every ten minutes they send down a pair of magnificent 22,000 x 22,000px images of Earth

There are more than 15,000 satellites orbiting the Earth by the end of 2025 already. A space satellite is launched into orbit using a powerful rocket that lifts it through Earth’s atmosphere at speeds over 17,500 miles per hour (28,000 km/h). Once it reaches the right altitude and velocity, the rocket releases the satellite, allowing it to circle Earth due to the balance between gravity pulling it down and its forward speed carrying it around the planet. Satellites are used for communication, GPS, weather tracking, military operations, and scientific research, silently orbiting hundreds or even thousands of miles above us.

❗️🇵🇱Poland continues the deployment of its own satellite constellation and is launching two more satellites into orbit. By the end of 2026, there will be nine of them. This concerns the formation of its own segment of satellite reconnaissance and observation.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Šekerinska: Following the success of its original IMECE Earth observation satellite, Türkiye is announcing an ambitious plan for the development of two additional high-resolution satellites. They will be built here in Türkiye by the TUBITAK Space Institute with a contract worth over 300 million US dollars. Türkiye has also signed contracts with ASELSAN for the development of low earth orbit satellites and military communication systems, as well as the procurement and development of early warning radar systems within the scope of the Steel Dome National Integrated Air Defense Architecture. These contracts are worth in total over 350 million dollars, and they will enhance Türkiye’s ability to remain connected on the battlefield and their detection and early warning capabilities.

Fram2 became the first crewed mission to polar. According to flat earth, this Dragon capsule and its astronauts would have had to teleport repeatedly from one side of the flat earth to the other as they orbited over Antarctica. Flat earth is dead. The Final Experiment The Biggest Mike

Elon Musk explains how Starlink works? "I think there's several 1000 satellites in low Earth orbit, and they're moving around 25 times the speed of sound in these zipping around the Earth, basically. And they're at an altitude of about 550 kilometers, which is called generally low earth orbit, because they're at low Earth orbit. Their latency is low because the distances is not that far, compared to Geo stationary satellite, 36,000 kilometers. So you've got 1000s of satellites providing low latency, high speed internet throughout the world, and they are interconnected as well. So there are laser links between the satellites. So it forms sort of a laser mesh, so that if, let's say if cables are damaged or cut, like fiber cables, the satellites can communicate between each other and provide connectivity. For example, when the Red Sea cables were cut, I think a few months ago, the Starlink satellite network, continued to function."

🇵🇰🚀 Pakistan Completes EO-3 Launch, Accelerating Its Satellite Constellation Drive Pakistan has successfully placed its PRSC EO-3 Earth Observation Satellite into orbit, marking a significant step in the country’s expanding space programme. The satellite, developed domestically by SUPARCO, was launched from China’s Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center, underscoring a model of local manufacturing supported by external launch capability. EO-3 completes a three satellite Earth Observation series: ◽EO-1 (2025) ◽EO-2 (February 2026) ◽EO-3 (latest launch) Together, they form the backbone of a planned integrated Earth Observation system aimed at improving data availability and coverage. Pakistan now operates 5+ Earth observation satellites, with most deployed in the last two years, highlighting a noticeable acceleration in activity. Officials describe the programme as part of a broader shift: 📡 From isolated missions → to a coordinated satellite network From external reliance → to increasing data independence 🚀 From slow launches → to a structured rollout strategy The EO-3 mission also reflects continued technical cooperation with China, particularly in launch services. With additional satellites expected in the coming years, Pakistan appears to be moving toward a multi satellite constellation designed for regular, wide area monitoring. The direction is clear: a steady build up rather than a one off achievement.
