If a horse sleeps laying down it’s a sign they feel safe as they usually sleep standing up for protection it’s the biggest compliment to an owner

🤣🤣🤣🤣 No but seriously I took care of 4 horses from the age of 10 till I was 17 and the oldest horse I took care of because the owner was elderly and his 7 boys wouldn’t help him feed , groom and get fresh water everyday. Cleaning out they’re ears in the morning and lining they’re ears inside with Vaseline so the Nats get stuck and don’t bite. Well I used to bring him out and I would lay down in the grass and horse was 23 years old would lay down next to me and lay his head next to mine. I truly miss how simple the world was way back then. Taking care of them taught me that he needed help caring for them and in return I was allowed to take them out whenever I wanted to and ride, we would ride 6 miles to the park walk them around the lake . Before everything was built up we used to go fishing on our rides stop and have a picnic while the horses were splashing around in the creek and having a drink. Don’t you just wish you could turn your car into a DeLorean and type in the year and month of where we want to go. When things start getting bad we just keep going back until we’ve made the right choice and keep moving forward.

I dont know why but naming a horse Squidward made my day 🤣

I thought horses only lay down if they are really sick or dead !!!! I guess horses today are getting lazy like humans .. they need cowboys again

🌶️❤️ Happy Wednesday bestie!!!!

I have never seen this side of horses before. 🤣🤗

Sleepy ancient spirits.

I can’t tell how many times I saw one of our cows sleeping like this and thinking they were dead.

@Patiot_Barry I didn't know they could lay down like that.
