Maybe the good ole boys take 4 days to do the job because they do it right! 'Immigrant could do in one day' and it will fall apart or burn down with electrical problems. Finish carpenters get paid well because they know what they're doing.

You’re 100% right!! We worked our butts off when we were kids, and that was ON TOP of our daily chores. And we got NOTHIN handed to us! I started babysitting when I was 10!! That’s child abuse now a days.

Have you ever seen the home inspector videos? The ones where they go through all the new builds? Quality work is almost nonexistent. If it takes 4 days instead of 1 is it all really labor or maybe some quality issues too?
