I have a 10 grade education and retired at 33. School is not for smart people.

College is way too over rated.

For the last 40 years, I’ve said you don’t need a piece of paper from a 4 year collegiate institution to be successful - many people are proof of that. Glad people are starting to wake up.

Electrician, welders,HAVAC,ect can all easily eclipse college salaries,it's work, but some of us enjoy that stuff.

My kids had plan Aand B.. and never trust a school counselor. They will never tell you or kid this.. I said.. pick one trade at tech school.. my boys did.. so one was working for a house building company as a drafter at 18 making good money! and my other son was working for the chemistry dean at university using his IT degree at 16. Plus they worked on associates degree in high school. My youngest graduated with all 3 on graduation high school day.. for free. They can go to college but work so no loans for only degree like architecture? Help your kids out by expecting more in high school by getting free tech degrees and certs.

I am a union electrician for 37 years from New York City. I have listened over three decades of people saying works smarter not harder go to college. My sisters and brother all went to college. I am 55 and retired now. They’re older than me and still working no retirement money.

She undervalues the skills and intelligence required for certain trades while grossly overvalues her Masters degree . College diplomas are not necessarily an indication of intelligence - very often they just show one’s ability memorise information

My son just graduated and is headed off to the Navy. Gas Turbine Electrical Technician. Badass!

Sounds like you got everything you want and a husband that makes bank. Keep up the good work.

I work in education… And I say this all the time to my students! You don’t have to go to college!
