Here’s the problem with Trenton’s electric car mandate: They’re forcing people to buy EVs while utility bills are already through the roof. More EVs = more demand = higher bills for everyone. Our grid can’t handle it. Energy experts are warning us. But Mikie has doubled down on this failed policy— and actually said it will cost New Jerseyans “an arm & a leg, but if you’re a good person, you’ll do it.” Who says that?! We need to stop the mandates that make life more expensive for working families and bring back common sense. Unfortunately, common sense isn’t so common for my opponent.

If Democrats vote for a 12th time to keep the government shut down, they should at least vote to pay those who are still working. It’s common sense and common courtesy — there’s no excuse to oppose the Shutdown Fairness Act.
