African Americans back then had intact families, stable jobs, and a culture they were proud of. Some of the most iconic black music back then were enjoyed by people of all colors. An example would be I don't want to set the world on fire by the Inkblots. Such a good song!

Official “poverty” in America is not what most people think it is. Thomas Sowell points out that what Washington defines as poverty would be considered upper-middle class in Mexico. Most people in that category have microwave ovens, central air conditioning, and at least one car — many have two. The average person classified as poor in the US has more living space than the average European. This is not poverty by any historical standard. The real catastrophe is not material want. It’s the breakdown of behavior, the explosion of crime, and the loss of basic safety that came with the same non-judgmental mindset that built the modern welfare state. Sowell grew up in Harlem with no television, no car, and almost no books in the house — yet he could walk out at midnight to buy a newspaper without fear. Today that would be unthinkable. Poverty in America is no longer mainly about what people lack. It’s about the squalor of behavior that policy helped create.

It’s a hostile, anti-social, matriarchal, fatherless, grievance-fueled subculture that celebrates thug life, rejects education, glorifies violence, and treats every public space like a jungle party that ends in curfews, property damage, and “youths” scattering like roaches when the cops finally show up. We don’t have a “poverty” problem. We don’t have a “systemic racism” problem. We have a black culture problem that has been coddled, subsidized, and excused for 60 years while it devours cities, schools, and social trust. Reign it in. Hard. No more excuses. No more “vibrancy.” No more pretending this is compatible with a high-trust, high-functioning civilization. Enforce the damn laws like you would anywhere else, call it what it is, and stop importing and subsidizing the dysfunction.

When living in Latin America, you'll notice how "love tourism" is more out in the open The women and the men It sucks it happens Though one thing people say that I disagree with is that it is caused only by poverty Poverty isn't the main driver. Culture is IMO. Cartagena 🇨🇴 thrives on it while poor conservative Cusco 🇵🇪 has way less, despite heavy normal tourism. Thailand (relatively low poverty) is the love capital; conservative Iraq/Afghanistan resisted it. I'm not endorsing the activity. Just commenting on what I think is the bigger influence in Latin America and around the world Culture > Economics
