I've dedicated months to a project that might be entirely a wasted venture. The pool projection thing is a very big ask for each customer. - They need a pool table. - They need a suitable projector mounted above it - They need a suitable camera mounted above it - They need a PC with a GPU - They need to train a model on their balls in their environment Even if it goes no where, it's alive in my studio and it's by far the coolest thing I've ever built, and it's going to turn me into a monster pool player.

When Australians voted no to Albanese divisive Voice they were also voting no to the entire Uluru agenda. Australians understood the voice was a crucial first step towards a treaty, and they knocked it back. They understood the voice, treaty and ‘truth-telling’ would divide this country by race, and they knocked them back. They understood that failure to close the gaps would not be fixed by more bureaucracy and more billions of dollars wasted on the Aboriginal industry gravy train. They heard from this industry and the indigenous elites who live large on the Australian taxpayer while Aborigines in remote communities continue to suffer poverty, crime and welfare dependency. They were lectured by big business, big banks, academics, activists, the Greens, the Teals, Minister Burney and Prime Minister Albanese. They heard these out-of-touch ‘leaders’ tell them they were racist and stupid if they didn’t do what they were told. They were told Australia’s international reputation would suffer – and then went on the BBC to trash Australia’s international reputation. They were told by these same out-of-touch ‘leaders’ the no campaign was all lies, misinformation and disinformation. They watched the yes campaign castigate the media for daring to report on the no campaign. They rejected all of it. The only fair and equitable way forward is for racial separatism and division to be abandoned, and for us to move forward as one people in one nation under one flag.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio: I hope that the Houthis stop. They shouldn't really do that. They got suckered into this by the Iranians. The Houthis largely were smart and stayed out of all this throughout the conflict. They now apparently have gotten themselves suckered into this by going after Saudi Arabia and their ships. I was reading reports a few hours ago that there was actually a Saudi fuel ship that's flagged Chinese. It's a Chinese ship. Are they going to blow up the Chinese ship? Then this becomes a problem for China. This will become a problem for the whole world. But I hope that will de-escalate because I think the Houthis, frankly, got snookered into this thing by the Iranians. They were smart to stay out of it, and they should stay out of it, and they should stop. We'll see what happens there. Obviously, it's not a positive development. We'll see what happens.

Jackie Gleason, the legendary American comedian and star of "The Honeymooners", on the time he got CBS to send him a private train to Miami: In the 1960s, Gleason decided he didn't want to shoot his show in New York anymore. He wanted to do it in Miami, and he wanted to get there in style. "When we're doing the Honeymooners, I had a big contract for that for two years. And after the first year, I said I didn't want to do it. And they didn't believe me. They thought I had a job somewhere else. And finally, they realized that I just didn't want to do it." When the network came back asking him to do another show, Gleason was in California making a picture. He said yes, but with one condition: "I said, 'All right.' I said, 'But I want a train that goes to Florida.' Because I had come down here and played golf and liked it and I figured might as well go to Florida and do the show. Play golf all the time and they went for it." They went for it. What followed was a rolling party across the country. Gleason describes what was on the train: "Everything. We had two Dixieland bands come from California and they would spell each other. I'd say to them, 'Take five miles,' and the parties went on 24 hours." Asked if there were girls on the train, he laughs: "Boy, there were girls. There certainly were. And they were very, very nice girls. Nothing on it happened. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it didn't. Might have been because the berths were too small, but regardless of that, nothing happened on that trip." Asked if there was a bar on the train, his answer is perfect: "A bar. The train was a bar. I guess that's a classic example of what clout is." Then he delivers the line that sums up the whole story: "'Send a train, please.' That's right. Taylor: Ayn Rand wrote this essay called the monument builders, where she went through the history of despots throughout time, who built monuments to themselves while they were in power from the pyramids all the way to Soviet Russia, where the train system that Tucker Carlson lauded a few years ago was built by the generous hands of workers who were forced to do it. And now we have Donald Trump, who is spending taxpayer dollars to honor himself by building monuments to himself. There is no better or more on the nose of someone's authoritarian tendencies than their desire to build monuments to themselves.

I have been reporting on this story since it first hit social media. Many of these parents had no idea Aayden Gallagher was a boy until he hit the track. This is the last race he ran in where he beat fellow sophomore, and track star, Aster Jones. At this point people in the audience had been informed these girls were running against a boy. A boy in their locker rooms. A boy cheered on by his coaches and enabled by officials and corrupt politicians. The audience had caught on here and cheered for Aster and booed the boy. I’m angry at the adults for allowing this to happen. I don’t wish ill on this boy. People in his life are lying to him and encouraging this. His mother, his coaches. It’s a terrible thing to do. But they want him to feel special and they want to win. At the expense of girls. The girls were threatened by the high school sports governing body OSAA against speaking out. Now they are being lectured on social media by adults to stand up to this when the adults won’t do anything themselves.

Apparently dads get postnatal depression now. And this brave chap is raising awareness of it via a Times article. I’m not saying becoming a father isn’t a big adjustment for men. Of course they should get help if that leads to depression. But it’s women whose bodies are, literally, changed by conception, pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. Not just by the physical changes and challenges, but by the hormonal changes that go with them. And this feels like just another example of women not being able to have anything for themselves - including the very thing only their bodies can do. Not every aspect of female experience needs a male equivalent.

Europe should look at what the UAE have created. They're number three in AI now and they have nothing to do with Europe in terms of regulation. So the answer to Europe is, after the Second World War, they screwed themselves. They put a regulatory environment in so onerous that everybody just brought their dough to the United States and developed their companies here and stole the people that were innovators. And I rest my case on this one: we took the guys that were bombing us, the V-2 rocket scientists, and made them Americans and stuck them here and they built NASA. I mean, that's Europe losing the best and brightest geniuses. By the way, we shouldn't change that policy. We should keep bringing over any genius from anywhere and train them here, otherwise the Chinese will.
