WOW. NBC’s Chuck Todd succinctly in two and a half minutes describes The Alignment in real time to viewers with the new Trump coalition adding working class Hispanics with a focus on the economy and education, not “Latinx”: Todd: Iowa pollster Ann Selzer “thought she found something with...independent women...I don’t know if it’s enough to make up for the loss of voters of color that have — clearly — I mean, that is — that continues, to me, to be the big story of the night is the shift among Hispanics. Look, Hispanic voters are swing voters and I think, you know, what's interesting here it is the Republican Party treated them the same way they treated white, working class voters. They courted them the same they treated white, working class voters. The Democratic Party has spent a lot of time treating it as an identity group. And, you know, whether it's latinx, which sort of fell flat and so, there’s been a lot of hand-wringing inside Democratic circles. A real split like, you know, it was a total misread sort of by the coastal strategists when it comes to how to target working class voters of color. And I think we’re starting to see sort of a working class coalition start to drift to the right. You know, before, Donald Trump had working class whites. Now? He’s adding working class Hispanics and working class — not necessary seeing evidence of working class African Americans — but adding working class Hispanics. That becomes a very durable majority...It doesn’t matter your ethnicity. It matters your education...Latino voters, in many ways, same — are driven by the same issues and there’s one issue in particular actually that Republicans align closer with Latino — or Latino voters align with conservative — with conservative party and that's school choice. And that has been -- and you can't help but wonder both Florida and Texas has been aggressive about expanding school choice. Where have Republicans made the greatest gains amongst Hispanic voters? Florida and Texas. So, education and economy, those issues — bread and butter issues and that is how they talk to them. Not saying Democrats weren't, but for the sort of cultural issues don't play as well with Hispanic voters as they may with college-educated whites or even African Americans.”

🚨 MICHIGAN WARNING SHOT Laura Ingraham just laid it out cold: Carville may be 80, but plenty of centrist Democrats in Michigan and Wisconsin still think like him. It’s going to take a hell of a lot more than Dearborn to beat Mike Rogers. They need middle-class and union voters too… and that’s a heavy lift. Politico noted Haley Stevens was the one who actually appealed to working-class voters. El-Sayed did better with the college-educated and affluent. Despite public and private polling showing him up by double digits, he only beat her by one point. So the question heading into November is simple: Are those Haley Stevens voters really going to line up behind the socialist diversity dreamboat? Some are already saying it out loud: “If El-Sayed wins, I won’t vote Democrat.” “I’m a liberal… but I’m not a socialist.” Laura’s right: There is no daylight between El-Sayed and his most ardent supporters. This is the party of AOC and Hasan Piker, the same guy who said America deserved 9/11 and wishes we were more like Communist China. And he just appeared with El-Sayed on the final campaign stop. Unless sane Democrats finally grow a spine, work with Republicans, and crush the DSA right now… they will lose their party forever. This isn’t just Michigan. This is the beginning. These were never supposed to be permanent swing states. If this movement keeps spreading, they never will be again. America First. No socialists. No apologies
