This clean up is long overdue

The ANC failed to do this when they had the opportunity. DOMKOPS.

They are not addressing the root cause of the hyacinth weeds. The weeds will grow again in less than a month. Root causes are water contamination from human excrement into the rivers flowing into the dam. Unplanned and informal human settlements next to rivers.

Harties dam need to be clear from those plants

Temporary solution Hyacinth weed will again take over in less than two weeks

Useless operation. Spores/seeds will still fall into the water and it'll be back within a week

What happened to the insects they imported that eat up the weeds

This is good as an immediate solution but long run requires addressing the sewerage flow into the Hennops river from as far as Tembisa, Ivory Park. CoJ and CoT need to be held accountable.
