Community manager is the most crucial role in a web 3 company. @VitalikButerin , @sandeepnailwal , @StaniKulechov , @frankdegods are the chief community officer. Their role is to evangelize and communicate why their protocol matters. @DeGodsNFT @y00tsNFT @AaveAave 3/12

Ideally, the community will also evangelize the protocol and become community managers. This is what Ethereum is today and the goal for any decentralized protocol. The community manager is the most critical role at a web 3 company. 4/12

Progressive Decentralization —> the ultimate goal for a web 3 company is to become decentralized. The best way to achieve this: Centralized roadmap, progressive decentralization as referenced by @a16z @a16zcrypto 5/12

Web3 companies must start centralized to gain traction. Typically, an entity focuses purely on adoption/business development, eg: Ava labs, Consensys, Polygon Labs, etc. @ConsenSys @0xPolygon 6/12

Polygon’s goal is to decentralize. Eventually, the cofounders and BD team should “kill themselves.” “Kill themselves” by driving initial adoption to bootstrap the ecosystem–3 out of 5 projects should build on the ecosystem without input from the BD team. 7/12

This is when Polygon can decentralize. Decentralize too early, and one loses traction. Do not decentralize, and the company will fail as a Web3 protocol. 8/12

Blockchain will change the world. The current progress of humanity is: Humanity 0.0 → Cavemen Humanity 1.0 → Feudal, not democratic Humanity 2.0 → Nation states, hyper institutionalized 9/12

The problem with society is that we are hyper-institutionalized. Twitter, Instagram, government, and applications, are all institutions. Web3 is disrupting institutions. Eventually ppl will choose decentralized Twitter eg. ( @LensProtocol, Web3 gaming, etc. ) 10/12

Polygon is solving this by becoming the computational layer for decentralized applications. Polygon is the AWS of Web3. 11/12

And that is a wrap! The internet is a reflection of society. Society will become a reflection of the internet. Everything we do ( money, social interactions, etc. ) will be online. Blockchain is internet money. Blockchain, and Polygon, are the future. 12/12
