Has anyone mentioned that Justin Baldoni had literally ZERO incentive to destroy Blake Lively? She was the star of his movie, which he owned the rights to, and he even said in press interviews that he thought she should direct the next one!

She communicated she was uncomfortable on set. Isn’t that documented? If that’s true and he feared she would take those complaints public , he was very incentivized to discredit her before that happened.

I’m talking about financially he had no incentive bc they wanted to make the rest of the books into movies. You can’t convince me that they played along gave her everything she wanted the whole time and then at the last second decided to bury her. Perhaps they took pleasure watching the karma unfold but I’m not convinced it was something they actively did.

What exactly is Blake’s incentive to destroy Justin Baldoni?

I’m not sure but I feel it could have something to do with showing he breached some kind of contract he signed when he bought the rights for the book. Then Sony could make the rest of the movies without him? 🤷🏽‍♀️

I always took that as a passive aggressive comment coming from some kind of behind-the-scenes frustration (whether reasonable or not, idk), rather than any kind of compliment

Baldoni publicly said he wasn’t going to direct the next one—maybe passive-aggressive if she really made him wait in a basement at the premiere. But I think he planned to let Lively take over the rest of the movies while he stepped back and collected profits. Destroying Lively would destroy the project—and cost him millions. There are two more books in the series. Why would he risk that?

BL would get insulted over someone complimenting her pregnancy. She turns everything around & plays victim. No way is she a victim here but the perpetrator. Team @justinbaldoni all the way!

This is tough. It’s a he said-she said. Hard to judge a book by its cover, but is there ANY proof of his wrong doing?

Only so far that I’ve seen that his business partner showed his wife giving birth. Blake construed this as a producer showing her pornography. While perhaps the labor board may see this as potential harassed I just don’t understand if it was worth destroying Justin Baldoni’s life over.

Isn't this from the premiere where he was escorted off the red carpet when BL arrived? Justin has reacted with such grace to being iced & ghosted from his own film. Of course he suspects she wants a director credit on the sequel, she wanted a producer credit on his own film!

🚨 One thing Blake Lively can’t deny? She had full authorship — aka control — over It Ends With Us. And I’m not talking about a little creative input. I’m talking full-blown power play. Blake Lively had full control, from racking up the budget for her custom wardrobe to overseeing editing, hiring, firing, casting, and even picking the composers. She denied Justin Baldoni, the actual director, his director's cut and did not even let him see the final version before release. And of course, she brought in her husband Ryan Reynolds’ marketing company, Maximum Effort, to promote the film. And trust me, they made sure Blake had the maximum control. They sidelined Justin, stuck him in the basement during the premiere, erased him from movie posters, cut him out of the press tour, separated him from the caste, and replaced him with "Ryan the Lylin" and "Boring Brandon" for promotion. There are two receipts: 📽️ One clip from the It Ends With Us press run where Blake admits she had authorship. 📽️ Another from a Forbes interview where she says she used to pretend she just wanted to act — but once she got the role, she’d push for more authorship. So Justin gave Blake full creative control. But that wasn’t enough for her. What Blake wants is to take over films from smaller directors like Justin — and then take all the credit. She used Ryan to push Justin out of the picture so she could get away with it. And let’s not forget — in that full Forbes interview, Blake also said she loves working with "nice" people. Justin was nice. Now we know what that really means: she likes working with people she can steamroll. She takes genuine niceness for weakness. People she can set up and throw under the bus with false sexual harassment claims to destroy their careers and hard earned good reputations. Girl… if no one in your circle is honest with you, let me be the one: Yes, Blake Lively — you’re the asshole in this situation.
