Has anyone survived a helicopter crash in water before? A few days ago a Nigerian military aircraft crashed into water and I don’t think anyone survived. So what is the essence of this Helicopter crash escape training?

It wasn't an helicopter, it was a propeller plane. And yes! People survive all types of accidents, including helicopter, aeroplane, hot air balloon, truck, car and even korope accidents or crash. Preparing for an accidents is not a guarantee for survival when it happens or otherwise, it is simply preparation in hope that it never happens and if it does, perhaps a chance to brave the odds and survive.

Okay

This is child's play compared to an actual crash ... disoriention , panic , tilting, crashing and fear of dying would makes the passenger lose focus

Very true. You can compare real life event to simulation

Very nonsense thing that will kill people one day

Lol.

Omo, i nearly die for this training at portharcourt, their divers will put on oxygen o😂😂, na we go come find our way

@PHSailor1 Omor 😅😅😅😅 funny but real as fuck

@PHSailor1 Hello , please check your dm

I attended similar training years ago and the closing was the trainer admonition that may we never experience this situation in our lifetime.

That’s the best prayer man. Never to encounter it

Correction sir, it's A propeller aircraft. ATR 72-500, Military variant. Max passenger 42 From high witness reports, it went into uncontrollable dive into the canal, trust me that kind of location/topography survival chances are slim. Thick vegetation and swamp

Person go forget all this training when that chopper start to go down, the only training you go remember Na Sunday school training " The blood of Jesus".

Lol.

I remembered those days in school One of our professors would say "It is useless to learn how to swim if you will be killed by drowning" "It is also useless to learn how to swim if you will not be killed by drowning"

BOSEIT I guess

Just pray not to encounter real life scenario bro.

Try true

The only way to survive is jump at of the plane before d crash

You won’t even have the time to do that.

It wasn't an Helicopter that crashed. And with this training in this video in an Helicopter it gives you a chance of surviving is the Helicopter lands on water and no flames.

So I heard

lol I did this training this year . I thought I would die . I think the problem is our aircraft . A brother of Mine told me that the aircraft’s we use are not primed for underwater escape

When I did this course my seat belt got stuck Na God save me that day after tumbling me

Omo 😳

@HPrebor59352

I need a sponsor for BOSIET and HUET Program

I though about this also, after taking this rigorous course 3 times and my conclusion is that the training only increases your chances of escape and survivability during a controlled ditching; i.e if and only if the helicopter didnt shread to pieces inside the water.

Training differs reality.

Omo. Huet training was sweet.

Yes, folks have survived

That’s true

This is part of the BOSIET program

I know people in oil and gas that survived helicopter crashes. However, in this case it was a turbo propeller aircraft. Also, that's more like a swampy terrain. Remember the 1992 NAF C130 plane crash?

When yours crash, you'd know the essence.

The course is useless honestly

To those of who have had this training and all the others, na blood of Jesus still sure pass. When you're in the chopper and the rotor starts to spin and chopper vibrates prayers don start. 😆

I just renewed mine which will expire in 4 years time. I don't i will renew again this time.

For controlled landing on water.

Even the coach no go survive real life situation

Yes

I feel it depends on how prepared you are before the crash and what happens to the helicopter during the crash.

The training preps you for the real life Buh when real life situation pops up it takes courage, calmness and quick thinking to decide and act Most crashes aren't fatal

Reality and a controlled training not the same

Few days?
