《 HALO 》BeHIND 🎧💛 🦊 “HALO” is actually my favoritesong on the album because it sounds so powerful and uplifting. It’s the kind of song that instantly makes you feel happy! I remember the original demo was in English, and when we adapted it into Chinese for the recording, it was quite challenging. The tempo is really fast, so fitting the lyrics naturally into the song took a lot of work. jungwon talked about an i-land story 😭🤍 🐈: back in i-land we watched this movie ‘weathering with you’ and what was really funny is that those kinds of movies usually leave a strong after effect, right? so everyone was like 🐈: before the final live broadcast we had about a day off. the cameras were off and filming was basically done since it was the finale… and at that time, i think it was the PD’s daughter? she was an elementary school student and she brought lego and stuff so we played with that, watched movies together and since the ground area had relatively better air, we went there to watch movies. 🐈: we watched this movie at the ground and everyone got such a strong emotional after effect that we were all joking about wanting to escape together 😭😭😭 🐈: we also watched peninsula and weathering with you it was really fun back then… it was a time when we didn’t know anything yet 🫳🏻

🐰 We’ve been doing spoilers since the previous album, so we just spoil things openly now.. That’s our style… But it turns out nobody really notices. We play the song so blatantly at the end of the MV every day, but you guys don’t catch it. Because it’s too obvious, you tend to think “this definitely can’t be it” and just skip over it. But yes, this is most likely the next title track you’re thinking of. So thank you if you watch the MV until the very end. Could it not be the next one? That’s right, it might not be, but it’s mostly correct~ I’m not sure if we did it again this time. I haven’t watched the music video myself yet. How’s the choreography? The choreography looks really fun too. And also… I really can’t say anything else, seriously..

I really, really, really wanted to drop this song last year. When I first put out the snippet, I was so excited - but it was hard to finish it on time because everything was a blur. I was sick and weak and nauseous and tired and my body just wouldn't do what I wanted it to. Even in the snippet video, I wasn't feeling great. I was just trying my best. I adore Chike's voice and I knew it was him that had to be on the song with me. When I asked him to give me a verse, he was so ready to go, but he was out of town. As soon as he came back, he came over to my studio the next day 🥹. I got a lotta respect for him. He didn't know I was pregnant and suffering 😅 Watching this video back now, I can't even understand where the energy came from. When the song was done, I struggled to mix it. Even so, I decided to master it myself. I hate mastering, so I don't know what I thinking. I was so disappointed that I couldn't meet the deadline. Everyone had fallen in love with the song and was asking me to put it out. I didn't have the energy to make content. I don't even remember them recording this video. Given how much I love this song, I'm a little bummed I couldn't give it energy it deserves. But please, know that a lot of love and resilience went into this song. I hope that you can let less be more for this one. I hope you can give it the energy that I couldn't. That I can't. PS: This is a chance for those of you that say I gave up my career for marriage to fight(?) for my uhm...rights? That or stfu. TMI from filming the “Echoes Between Us” MV 🦊 🦊: If you’ve watched my MV, you’ll know that it starts with a snowy scene~ with snow falling everywhere ❄️ At the time, the props staff told me that the “snow” was actually made from popcorn 🍿 and was edible. That made me feel much more at ease because, you know, when you’re filming, you end up breathing it in through your nose and mouth. I thought it was really fascinating. And then I got curious… Was it tasty? 🤔 Well… I never actually tried itㅋㅋㅋ 😆🍿❄️
