State capture and godfatherism aren't Peter Obi's style of politics, and he's not even trying to learn them. Besides, state capture over time hasn't played well in Southeast politics. Chimaroke Nnamani tried it in Enugu, but after a massive clash with Sullivan Chime, he ran out of the state only to be given a heroic welcome home when Ugwuanyi took over. Rochas couldn't decide who governs Imo State, and it was the same thing in Abia. The only place state capture and godfatherism seem to be gaining ground is Ebonyi State. So politics of godfatherism isn't going to work for Obi.
