The NBA is held hostage by the players. Other sport leagues don't allow this. In my opinion it is time for a challenger to the NBA. One that makes sure the players are not in charge. One that enforces the rules of the game for all players, including the super stars.

Theyre still filling arenas and still charging crazy sums for tickets, parking, concession, merchandise etc... This bullshit will go on until the fans finally have enough and stop showing up.

He's talking about "old fans!" These new fans that can afford to go to games don't care about the same quality of basketball. It's an event to say "I was there" more so than a love for your team. A lot of "fans" have been priced out.

Can the switch contracts to $ / game played? $61,000/ game played. You play the whole season $5M. You sit out games okay but you lose that $61k. And bonuses for post season. And if you’re out for medical you have some “vacation/sick leave” games you can use.

They don't want camaraderie with the fans because they have no loyalty to the fans, the team or the city where they play. Players now a days in pro sports are just mercenaries
