The public reaction to a video of a Melbourne woman being stabbed while walking to work has been one of horror and dismay, as Victorians come to terms with the failures of both government and police to address the out of control crime wave. So it comes as no surprise for many of us to learn that this attack happened weeks ago, and at some level whether government or police it was decided to keep information about the dangers faced by the public in Melbourne hidden. This is especially insulting considering that Jacinta Allan was on television just days ago telling the public how safe they are in Victoria, when it's obvious that is the furthest thing from the truth at the moment. This woman was lucky to have survived, with the knife missing her heart by inches, while still rendering her in hospital for three days with a punctured lung. How many more Victorians have to suffer and die before the Allan government and Victoria Police come clean about their failures, or start taking real action to keep the community safe from these criminals running wild on bail?

There are many lifelong Labor voters in Victoria who are considering giving up a habit of a lifetime and not voting Labor. The leadership speculation about Allan, and whether she stays or whether she goes, is likely to continue right up until the state election in November. One Nation Victoria and Pauline are fully focused on providing the change Victorians desperately need. What happened last night at Park East Synagogue is horrifying. This was not a protest. This wasn’t about policy, and this was not about Israel. This was a mob of people openly targeting Jews, a mob that gathered outside a synagogue, chanting, threatening and intimidating a religious community for being Jewish. No one is allowed to say the foreign government Epstein was connected to was Israel because we have been cowed into thinking that that's naughty. There is nothing wrong with saying that... "And I think the real answer is Jeffrey Epstein was working on behalf of intel services, probably not American. And we have every right to ask on whose behalf was he working? How does a guy go from being a math teacher at the Dalton School in the late seventies with no college degree to having multiple airplanes, a private island and the largest residential…house in Manhattan? Where did all the money come from? And, no one has ever gotten to the bottom of that because no one has ever tried. And moreover, it's extremely obvious to anyone who watches that this guy had direct connections to a foreign government. I've spent my entire life pretty much in Washington where I knew and loved a number of people including one very close person who worked at CIA. That has never…prohibited me from saying, I think the CIA has done some horrible things. Murdered a bunch of people, participated in the murder of a sitting US president. It's got a whole trail of crimes. That doesn't make me a disloyal American. It doesn't make me anti American in any sense. I was born here, my family's been here for hundreds of years. I love this country, that's why I live here. So, criticizing the behavior of a government agency does not make you a hater, it makes you a free person. It makes you a citizen. You're allowed to do that…because you're not a slave, you're a citizen. And you have a right to expect that your government will not act against your interests and you have a right to demand that foreign governments not be allowed to act against your interests. That's not creepy. It shouldn't be forbidden. And yet, all of us have trained ourselves to believe that you can't say that somehow. That that's like too naughty and forbidden. And, the effect… of making that off limits has been to create a lot of resentment and I'll say it, hate online. Where people feel like they can't just say, like, what the hell is this? You have the former Israeli prime minister living in your house… You have had all this contact with the foreign government. Were you working on behalf of Mossad? Were you running a blackmail operation on behalf of foreign government? By the way, every single person in Washington DC thinks that. I've never met anyone who doesn't think that. I don't know any of them that hate Israel, but no one feels they can say that. Why? And I think the longer that we play along with it, the more subterranean and creepy and hateful the conversation actually becomes. So, I think it's better just to say it right out loud. Did this happen? And of course that question has been asked to the government of Israel and their answer is, we're not going to tell you. And I think our answer should be, no no As long as we're sending you money, if you were committing crimes on our soil, we have an absolute right to know, did you do this or not?"

Pritzker: The decision by the Supreme Court today on the Voting Rights Act is an abomination. It is an attack on a crown jewel of our democracy. Illinois is the proud home to having sent more black congresspeople to Washington than any other state in the country. The decision that was made today by SCOTUS about the Voting Rights Act is an attack on minorities across this country. We're not going to stand for it in Illinois. We're going to push back. We have options for pushing back. And that is under discussion with the legislature even today. I talked to lawyers this morning, people who are experts in this, who've said that everything that we have in Illinois now is constitutional, even under the new ruling. I'm sure there will be people who try to attack it. But the reality is that if you read through the Supreme Court decision, I'm told that it validates the maps that are already in place. And of course, we'll be looking at a new remap in Illinois in 2031.
