Wow… Abdul El-Sayed is going to have a tough time with Black voters in Detroit. Black voters in Detroit feel disenfranchised and neglected by the Democrat Party. “I don’t think any Democratic Party prioritizes the Black vote because it’s always a ploy to get the Black vote. They make all these promises, but once that vote is in and stuff like that, then it’s operation as normal.” Abdul El-Sayed struggled with Black voters in the primary election...it's only going to get worse. This is more evidence that people are waking up to the neglect of the Democrat Party.

RED FLAGS for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan with black voters per Democrat strategist Yemisi Egbewole: “He is going to have to find ways to moderate, to get those voters that were so attached to Haley Stevens, and frankly, I wanted Haley Stevens to win. I did think that she would be more competitive in a general, but the people of Michigan have spoken, and so to figure out a way to win the working class voters that he speaks so highly of, and also he's gotta win the black demographic. She did overwhelmingly well with black voters. I've had a little back and forth with his campaign about reaching out to black voters, and they believe that his presence with black voters is strong, but presence isn't persuasion, and we know that black voters tend to be more moderate, and I think that he's going to have to focus maybe less on some international issues and more on the domestic issues that do affect the day to day lives.”

🚨 HOLY CRAP. CNN is officially sounding the alarm that they spoke to Democrat voters in Michigan who are ready to vote MIKE ROGERS (R) over Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed (D) "They said they might vote for MIKE ROGERS." 🔥 "Privately TERRIFIED..." "I've been talking to voters who were at Haley Stevens' events leading into the primary at various polling places. I was in Dearborn, in Detroit, in Birmingham, where Haley Stevens is from, and all over the place, people who were voting for Stevens were saying they do not know that they can vote for El Sayed." "This race got very deep, very personal between the two of them. And it also is about a lot of issues that people got very upset about, particularly the issue of Israel and Gaza and Palestine, where El Sayed has been very far out there." This is GREAT NEWS!! h/t Jason Cohen 🇺🇸

The Black community have been voting in at least the 85 to 90 percentile for 60 plus years for the Democratic Party, and they have sign legislation “Specifically” for EVERY minority group EXCEPT for Black Americans…Even when the democrats have had control of the House, the Senate, and the Oval Office — they still did NOT pass any legislation “Specifically for Black Americans, which is their largest and most loyal minority voting bloc… Don’t tell me anything about Donald Trump or Jill Stein — if you are voting for Kamala Harris, who blatantly stated that she is NOT going to do anything that was only to benefit “Black People.” Meanwhile, Black folks are seriously attacking other Black Americans because we refuse to vote for Kamala Harris and dance in her minstrel show….. #TheBallotOrTheBullet #ElectionDay #Election2024

🚨 ABDUL EL-SAYED JUST GOT EXPOSED IN MICHIGAN The Democrat Senate nominee got DESTROYED by Black voters in the primary. Haley Stevens beat him by 30 points in some areas. Over 60% in Detroit. Now he’s scrambling, talking about “building relationships.” Black voters aren’t stupid. They see the same game: Make promises. Take the vote. Then chase college campus socialism while working-class communities deal with crime, jobs, and the border. Democrats took the Black vote for granted for decades. That loyalty is cracking. Kitchen table issues > ideology. Watch the numbers keep dropping.

🚨 JUST IN: Black voters are SLAMMING Democrats in Michigan after Abdulrahman Mohamed El Sayed won the primary This is NOT a good sign for them... "I don't think any Democratic Party prioritize the black population. It's a PLOY to get the black vote! Once that vote is in, it's operation as normal!" "The black community feels disengaged." "Never really been a priority for the Democrats." "It's just the way they don't address our issues, that address working class black people." 🤯🤯 Abdul might be in trouble!

I freaking love Michigan! Thank you for all the hospitality. Quick message to my brothers and sisters in MI: Here’s the truth about Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: • Always had my back as a Black man • Deep respect for Barack & Michelle Obama • Knows feedback is a sign of respect • Delivered free eyeglasses to 16k kids • Canceled $50M in medical debt (on track for $700M) • Fights money in politics & endless war Haley Stevens is playing politricks, pandering, and tokenizing Black voters. Vote for truth. Vote for politics that recognize your humanity. Vote Abdul El-Sayed.

I joined Stephen A Smith to talk about the Texas Primary and my belief that investing in Black voters is the missing link. Black voters who show up are the party’s most loyal base — over 80% of Black men and more than 90% of Black women vote Democratic. If you want different outcomes, you have to make different investments. The only place Democrats have flipped Senate seats in the South is Georgia, the third Blackest state in America — where there was a real investment in turning out Black voters. The question isn’t complicated: Why aren’t Democrats investing in the Black vote in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi? Also, primaries are about turning out your bases. The data says that Talarico had the money and time to invest in turning out white and Hispanic voters. To win he will have to do what no other Texas Democrat has been able to do in a general election — invest in Black voters to turnout Black communities.

Hasan Piker, once again, explained why Abdul El-Sayed campaigning with establishment Democrats like Kamala Harris and Barack Obama is not a bad thing: "There is real tension in Michigan. I'm telling you, I've seen it. I've talked to people on the ground. And while not everyone is appreciative of Kamala Harris, clearly, considering she lost the state of Michigan to Donald Trump, there are those who ARE very supportive of Kamala Harris; voters that Abdul El-Sayed needs to bring turnout, to really tap into. Black voters, older Black voters specifically. Older Black voters like Kamala Harris; won't say the same about younger Black voters, won't say the same about voters broadly. But, older Black voters, they love Kamala Harris. There is still resentment directed towards those who did not vote for her or even went out and voted for Donald Trump in the state of Michigan. To address this, to resolve this issue, you need support from the establishment figures that older Black voters have placed a lot of trust in. This is not about agreeing with Kamala Harris, this is not about her positions. The question always is: Do you wanna win? And if you want to win, you have to do this. I don't think it's a bad idea at all; I think it's a good idea and I want Obama to come out and stump for Abdul, too."

Hasan Piker explains why Abdul El-Sayed campaigning with Kamala Harris is not necessarily a bad thing: "There's a little bit of an ethnic hostility between voters in Detroit vs. voters in Dearborn. Black voters in Detroit think that Kamala Harris was a perfectly viable candidate that was far better than Donald Trump, and Kamala Harris was better than Donald Trump, but that voters in Dearborn, Arab voters, didn't vote her because they were either anti-Black or because they were, in some respects, selfish for caring about genocide. What's really interesting is that Black voters are more negative on Israel overall than many other demographics are. Isn't that crazy? So, they also recognize the genocide. They're not exactly fond of Israel. Abdul is and will be, the most Israel critical Senator. His campaign has openly stated that we have to stop spending our tax dollars in Israel. That's huge. That's huge for a Senator to say. That's part of the reason why they're attacking him nonstop. So, I don't see this as we're going to Kamala Harris; I see this as Kamala Harris coming to the side of the pro-Palestinian movement."

DO YOU SEE HOW THEY DO US?! Katy Tur tries to explain the shift in the Democratic electorate to the right and attempts to pin it on Black men. Thank you, Symone D. Sanders Townsend, Eugene Robinson, and Michele Norris, for dropping facts and setting the record straight. We Black men have been consistent and are still the strongest Democratic voting bloc, second only to Black women. The election is over now, so I’m going to say this: I felt insulted that my vote was in question and had to be defended!

Sanders: In all due respect to Congresswoman Stevens, everyone knows that this is not an election between her and Abdul El-Sayed. This is an election between Abdul and the billionaire class. That is what this election is about. A billionaire class which has already—and there are two weeks left to go in the election—already spent $50 million against him. Now, I want everybody here throughout the state, people turning on their TVs and seeing all these ads, I want you to ask yourself a simple question: Why are the richest people in the country spending tens and tens of millions of dollars to defeat Abdul El-Sayed? Why does the billionaire class feel that they need to outspend him in this election 12 to 1? Twelve to one. What are they afraid of? And the answer is obvious: They understand quite correctly that when Abdul is elected to the Senate, he will work with me and other progressives in taking on the greed of the billionaire class. That’s what the billionaires are afraid of and they should be afraid.

No doubt about it, South Carolina reset the narrative for Joe Biden in 2020 and it’s resetting the narrative in 2024. This time for Black voters. Biden is on solid ground with the foundation of the Democratic Party — Black women AND Black Men. Polls give Black men a bad wrap every election cycle. It would be nice to see us get the respect for our vote that Black women voters get someday, but no matter. Historically the data shows that Black men are the most loyal Democratic voting block, second only to Black women. That won’t change this election cycle. I am confident of that. 👀

Michigan Democrats are divided over the future of the party as progressive candidate Abdul El-Sayed and establishment-backed Rep. Haley Stevens battle for the Democratic Senate nomination. El-Sayed, endorsed by Bernie Sanders and other progressive leaders, is campaigning on policies including Medicare for All and abolishing ICE, while Stevens argues she is the strongest candidate to defeat Republican Mike Rogers in November. Despite the contentious primary, both Democrats say they will back the party's nominee in the general election. | Rich Edson

FACT: Black men are going to outvote every group in America for Kamala Harris — after Black women. Nobody other group even comes close. Take that same energy people are using to criticize us — and push the white labor union guys whom Biden/Harris supported. Push the white women (who are voting 50/50 for Trump) whose rights Biden/Harris have championed. And the minority of black male voters who DO have reservations and concerns — they should be listened to, in good faith.

Hasan is absolutely correct here: "Black people are far more positive about socialism than any demographic in this country. Black people are far more critical of Israel, poll after poll shows this, than any other demographic in this country. Black people have always been woke and will continue to be woke. Black political expression, on the other hand, gets filtered back into the Democratic Party and sometimes the most conservative Democrats, ironically enough. But that doesn't change the reality that Black people are, by and large, the most consistently progressive voting bloc, the most consistently progressive people in the country. That's it."
