Hasan Piker, once again, clarified his statements on the 'be normal' discourse: "It is abnormal to constantly fucking make it seem like people that have disabilities are not allowed in normal society. It is those who focus on the people that are more vulnerable and direct their entire attention... and enmity at people who are more vulnerable and marginalized; those are the abnormal freaks. That's it. This is not about excluding people. It's actually about welcoming in people with differing opinions into the fold and being a little bit more understanding of the social conditioning that plays a role in their development, in their output, with the hopes that they can change; with the hopes that they can change their minds. That is my argument, that's always been my argument and that will always be my argument."show more

I understand the sentiment, but accepting people into the space with tendencies that harm marginalized ppl without requiring growth from them first makes the spaces unwelcoming for people harmed by those tendencies. This is why Hasan’s community has always been majority white.

Hasan Piker: “We are the normal ones. It is less normal to constantly fucking freak out about transgender people than it is to just let transgender people live. Most people actually don’t care about trans people existing in society. But on the internet that’s the only thing the Republicans dial in on and they make it seem like being transgender is abnormal. You know what’s abnormal? Constantly fucking worrying about children’s genitals. That is the most weirdo freak shit of all time”

Junet Mohamed: ODM is still the same, and it still stands for the values that it was founded on. Just because we are in broad-based, there are people who are feeling bad about it; they don’t want us in government. They think that we were born, and it is in the constitution that ODM and its people must be in opposition forever and ever until Jesus comes back. We will not allow that, we are not going to buy that. We will form a government with people who are like-minded, who will respect our values #CitizenExplainer

Hasan Piker : "My argument has always been simple: I am unbelievably privileged, okay? I am unbelievably fortunate. My job is basically like winning the lottery every single day and I never take it for granted. From my position, I don't think people should have to be winning the lottery every single day to have autonomy in their lives. To have a little bit of time off when they want to spend time with their friends and family. To have disposable income. To enjoy things. To purchase treats. To find some meaning in their lives. That's my argument. My argument is it's crazy to have to be insanely lucky to get to this position of power and privilege. We have an abundance of treats and a surplus of food. It doesn't make any sense that in the wealthiest nation on earth, there are 600,000 people that are sleeping outdoors every night. That makes no sense."

Hasan Piker had a heart-to-heart with his community about the power of being 'normal' with the goal of bringing people to our side. It's important to be palatable. He also talked about the dangers of gatekeeping and about why it's important to extend olive branches to those unfamiliar with leftist and socialist ideology: "It's probably unhelpful to make it even less accessible if we are feeding into the preconceived notions of what it means to be a socialist; an annoying woke-scold. I've never done that and perhaps that is a major part of the reason why this community is the size that it is. Throughout many different hinge points when this community has grown, there have always been people that have demanded a retreat over and over again. 'Why are you welcoming these new people? They are reactionary. Why are you welcoming these new people? They are ableist. Why are you welcoming these new people? They are racist and transphobic.' Some of those people we have welcomed with open arms and they have changed their minds over time. Is your goal to have the perfect safe space where no one disagrees with you? Or is your goal to build a mass movement? Purity testing, taking a morally righteous, maximalist position; these are poisonous for community development. Poisonous for organizing."

Reza Pahlavi: You know, from the first day I started, I considered my mission in life to bring the country to a point that we can have that final referendum and the people elect their first democratic government in the future. That to me is the finish line and mission accomplished in life. I don't have any personal ambition. I'm not seeking power. I don't want to have a crown on my head or a title, but I think that they should look at me as a bridge to that destination and not the destination itself. That's my focus. And any other argument about whether or not I will have a future role is placing a cart before the horse. My focus is on delivering on what I promised forty-seven years ago. That has been my commitment, and the reason millions of people in Iran are calling my name and want my return is because they know that they can trust me on this. I'm the only person that was not part of the revolution or ever associated with this regime. And that's a big plus when it comes to how many candidates are out there. That's why you hear my name chanted on the streets of Iran, and a lot of people in the diaspora support it as well.

Assisted dying is a highly emotive issue for people on both sides of the argument. I am disappointed that assisted dying will not pass this parliamentary session. It is my hope that it will be reintroduced in the next few months and that the will of the public and the their elected representatives will be respected soon after.

⚡️ “They say that in Russia law enforcement officers behave too harshly during some street protests. But what about the fact that in Europe people are shot with rubber bullets, people lose their eyes, people die in the streets, and water cannons and tear gas are used? Is that normal? I once met with one of my European colleagues. I asked him, "What is this like? Is this okay?" He answered me, "But we are a democratic country." Well, you know, that's ridiculous. A rubber bullet to the eye, and then the victim should be told, "It's nothing, don't worry, it's okay, it was a democratic rubber bullet"? It doesn't make people feel better, does it?” - President Putin

In 2002, Kenyans stood up and declared that the era of President Daniel arap Moi had come to an end. The political establishment was powerful, the state machinery was intact, but the people were stronger. The people won. In 2027, Kenya faces another defining moment. This is not about politicians. It is not about tribes. It is not about personalities. It is about the sovereign will of the people. When citizens unite behind a common cause, no amount of power, money, propaganda, or intimidation can stand in their way. Governments derive their authority from the people, and when the people decide it is time for change, change becomes inevitable. 2002 was a Moi Must Go moment. 2027 will be remembered as a moment when Kenyans once again demonstrated that ultimate power belongs to the people. The people are supreme. The people are the employers. The people are the final authority. And when the people speak with one voice, history listens.

Steve Jobs on why "that's how we've always done it" is the most dangerous phrase in business: "In most companies if you're new and you ask why is it done this way, the answer is because that's the way we do it here or because that's the way it's always been done" "That single shift is everything in my opinion because in that shift is a tremendous optimistic point of view about the people that work in a company. It says these people are very smart, they're not pawns, they're very smart, and if given the opportunity to change and improve they will improve the processes"

MacFarlane: The president doesn't have surrogates in congress defending this media ban. If they are, they're awfully quiet about it. And that tells the tale… One thing that jumped out at me, though, Katie, when the WH issued a press release, a political statement in support of this ban, they argued with that type of Trumpian random capitalization that the radical left is infiltrating the media, or that the media is doing the bidding of the radical left, and that there's a 95% bias rate in media reporting on Trump—Dubious numbers to be sure, that's not what they put in their legal argument. They can't bring that into court. They can't say that it's a media bias because they have to make a national security argument. So again, the political rhetoric does not align with the legal argument. And what's more, in some overnight court filings, the attorneys for MSNOW and those other media groups have shown clips of the president's quotes about media complaints and media bias. They're going to bring the judge an argument in 20 minutes that this is not about national security. And the president's own words show that.

In the topical immigration debates taking place in South Africa, many ignorant people have been manipulated by politicians and individuals with political ambitions who are exploiting that ignorance for their own agendas. But not everyone is ignorant to the real issues at the heart of the crisis. Some voices within South African society, including from the white community, are now speaking openly and calling things for what they are. The reality is that immigration in South Africa is not simply about foreigners. It is also about failed governance across the region, corruption, unemployment, economic collapse, weak border management, and political leaders who refuse to confront the root causes driving migration. Increasingly, some South Africans are beginning to recognise that blaming migrants alone will not solve the deeper structural problems affecting the country. But who cares about facts and accurate narratives when all that is needed are emotions to drive people into doing things they have been wrongly told will mitigate their suffering and the abject poverty in which they live? The tragedy of populist politics is that it feeds on desperation, not truth. People who are struggling economically become easy targets for manipulation, especially when they are constantly told that vulnerable groups, rather than failed leadership and corruption, are responsible for their hardships. Who cares about all the corruption coming out of the Madlanga Commission? Who cares that hospitals are being looted while billions that should have been used for healthcare, schools, roads, housing, and service delivery are instead being squandered on Ferraris and lavish lifestyles for politically connected elites? Nobody cares about those facts. The public is deliberately distracted from the real criminals destroying society. Instead of confronting corruption, state capture, and political failure exposed before the Madlanga Commission, people are encouraged to direct their anger at the easiest and most vulnerable targets, foreign nationals who are themselves trying to survive poverty and economic hardship. That is how populist politics works. It protects the powerful while turning the poor against one another manipulating their ignorance.

Leavitt also made it crystal clear to reporters that the federal government will hire based on competence, merit, and skill—not DEI. “People should not be hired based on their disabilities, based on their skin color, their gender, their race. “None of that matters. What matters to this president and this administration is how well you can do your job. And the American people agree with that sentiment. So it’s about competence, skill, and merit. And so the president is focused on ensuring that the most competent individuals, the best and the brightest in this country, are in positions in this federal government, especially when it comes to public safety. Can’t overemphasize the importance of those jobs.”

In this video, a UK Indian restaurant owner and his partner are standing up against people who are pressurizing them to change their menu. They clearly state that they do not sell Halal food and they will not be forced to switch to it just because of pressure. The owners show damage to their shop and mention that this is the third attack in the last two weeks, where people have pelted their shop with eggs. The owner is very angry and says that no matter how much they are bullied or harassed, he will continue to sell non-Halal food. They claim that these attackers are trying to provoke them, but they won't be intimidated and will keep running their business their own way.

People with Special Needs ? Please Read silently and thoughtfully thank you so much for reading 💙💙💙💙 People with special needs are among the most vulnerable groups in the world. They face a lot of difficulties because of their disabilities. In this essay, I will talk about this category of people, and its importance in society. In addition to how to activate their role and benefit from their capabilities. and we must respect him really I love of him so much because my grandmother she special needs♥️ The term people with special needs refers to people who suffer from physical or mental disabilities that affect their ability to meet their normal needs. That is, such disabilities make them face difficulties in carrying out many daily activities that a person without disabilities can easily do. There are many types of disabilities that differ in severity and treatability. Such as physical disability, visual disability, mental disability, and hearing disability. They require special care. They also need to be provided with conditions different from those of people without disabilities. People with special needs face problems and difficulties other than those they face because of their disabilities. One of the most prominent of them is the lack of acceptance by society. They may be seen as passive and unreliable people. This leads to the spread of unemployment, poverty, and marginalization among them. Another problem they face is that the infrastructure in public and other places is not adapted to their needs. For example, people with mobility impairments find it difficult to navigate the streets and public buildings due to the lack of ramps for wheelchairs. Also, not all cities have special tracks for the blind to guide them on their way. Supporting people with special needs in society must start at home and at school. Children should be taught the right way to deal with them. This group of people should not be ridiculed or ostracized because of their condition. They must be given equal opportunities in education, health and employment. Most importantly, they must be provided with care in special institutions, and rehabilitated to play an active role in society. The condition of people with special needs is not their fault. They are not to be blamed or belittled for their suffering. There is no perfect person in life. We all differ from each other in many ways. This difference is what makes society diverse, and makes us feel for one another.
