Hasan Piker explains why he doesn't have an issue with being a sin-eater for the Michigan Senate race. As long as Abdul El-Sayed wins the race and is able to push forward with his policy ideas, Hasan is fine with being the tank: "You want your opponents to make a mistake. This is NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman take on the recent UAP disclosures. "My position on this is that, look I don't want to comment as to the the credibility of individuals. Some of it I look at and say this is really insightful and some of it I say is that that falls outside the bounds of what I think is perhaps credible on that. Just because somebody worked for the government or had a clearance does not necessarily mean that their interpretation of what they saw is accurate. I think some of it is certainly unexplained based on what we know. And I think some of it if you probably put enough people behind it, you'd say that was a weather balloon, that was a an Iranian one-way attack drone or something. I will tell you I have immense access and have been at a seat at the table since the get-go on this. I have no information, no knowledge, I can take a lie detector test, on any crashed spaceships or bodies or biological organisms on this, but for sure we're gathering a lot of data and there is some unexplained anomalous phenomenon and we are putting it out there as part of these disclosure efforts."

He doesn't have an issue with the statement Abdul made, but with the tweet that accompanied the statement: "The only issue I have with this is not this statement in and of itself, because it's exactly what he's said over and over again, but it was this: tying it back to 'Hasan Piker's comments regarding Jeremy Moss.' This legitimizes the smear, unfortunately, and it also doesn't make anybody happy. There are going to be a lot of people who are already questioning Abdul El-Sayed's sincerity on these issues that will then turn around and say, 'he's moderating his position on Israel!' I don't think he is. I will say this: I am literally the person that is being dangled and I'm going to tell you once again; he's not moderating on his perspective on Israel or anything like that."

I think a lot of depression and a lot of bad things come from the fact that you're always like, 'Oh, I need this. It's all about me, myself, and I.' Now, it's not about that... I'm working for something bigger than myself."

Olivia Reingold: Abdul El-Sayed, who is Muslim, walks a fine line on the Jewish state. He told the crowd, “All of us love and revere Jewish folk, our Jewish neighbors, the faith of Judaism.” Later that night, I asked him whether he believes in Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state. Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: I'd love to take the question, actually. What do you mean by Jewish state? If you can't define the question, I'm not going to answer your question. Katie Halper: So, it's fascinating to me that “What does a Jewish state mean?” can be a gotcha question. Do you think most people would have a different opinion if they understood what the current Jewish state of Israel means? Dr. Abdul El-Sayed: I think most people have in their heart of hearts a commitment to foundational equity—that everybody deserves equal rights to peace, dignity, and self-determination. The reason I asked that question is because it's very difficult to square that question with equal rights for Palestinian people. Whether you're defining a Jewish state based on an actual state religion, which means that some people don't belong as much because they may not belong to the same faith. And then if you're doing it by identity, the question becomes, well, is it the identity of the leadership or is it the majority of the country? All of these become really, really difficult to square with any semblance of equal rights. If your interpretation of the identity of a state would then allow that state to discriminate against people for how they pray or because of their ethnicity, I don't think most of us would be okay with that. "As I've traveled the state, I've heard that that comment caused a lot of pain, and it was not my intention to cause any pain at all. But I'm big enough to apologize when I make mistakes. I understand that it's not what people wanted to hear at the time."
