This is a tough bucket from Donovan Mitchell, but I'm intrigued by the spacing here. Jarrett Allen's in the dunker spot *on the same side* as the Mobley pindown for Mitchell. Jaylon Tyson's deep in the corner, so Mitchell has plenty of room to operate to his right.

I’m usually not one to complain but Jake Diebler was trying to call timeout on the game-altering possession. The ref….literally right next to him….was either blind, deaf, or cheating. People will dog Diebler for this loss but he got screwed here by the ref not doing his job.

This is the kind of play that eye testers have a hard time with, but also shows why catch probability is so useful. This ball had just a 55% catch probability, and is just made to look so easy by Ceddanne Rafaela. It's all about what you don't see on the screen, because it happens before the camera is on the play. The jump is 9.0 feet above average. He was positioned well into right-center. Lesser outfielders win catch on the week on this one with a full extension dive.

On game day, I thought Jayden's throw to OZ was too wide for the receiver, but I was wrong. It was a great release vs. man to uncover, but I'm sure Zaccheus would even say he needs to make a way better play at the catch point.

Jose Caballero having a blast on his way to the dugout after taking Canada’s soul. Cabby is an awesome bottom-of-the-order bat for the Yankees, and one of the league's better agitators. He is one of those guys who won’t play in an all-star game, and he’ll give you league-average production at best, but he always finds a way to impact a game, be it with his speed, or, today against the Blue Jays, by hitting an absolute bomb. Even if he's not the answer at short, you love the way he embraces whatever role he gets out in.

Usual caveats of preseason, but watch the blocks of LT Christian Darrisaw (71) on Aaron Jones' 18-yard run yesterday, and RG Will Fries (76) on Jordan Mason's 15-yard run. Big emphasis this summer from Kevin O'Connell to play on "the other side of the line" in the run game.
