Hausa's are NOT Muslims.

Why surprised. Even Arabs are not Muslims. Tribe isn't equivalent to religion. A common knowledge. Even not all Jews practice Judaism.

He’s right, but his way of sharing history is not appealing to the hears. If he’s an upcoming historians then he should learn how to share history in layers to carry his audience along.

This is it.. Islam is not an ethnoreligious group. It is a universal religion embraced by many diverse ethnic groups including the Arabs, the Hausas etc. The reason “Islam” has a definition which is “submission to the way of God.” It is not an “ism” bcos it is complete in itself.
