Have always really loved this deleted scene from The Phantom Menace where Anakin has a scuffle with Greedo after the podrace. A great reminder that the young boy we meet on Tatooine will eventually give into his anger and frustration to become Darth Vader, as well as Greedo starting...

Have always really loved this moment from the second volume of the 2003 Clone Wars micro-series where Anakin brings a group of men back home to their families. Despite being experimented on and essentially turned into monsters of their former selves, they are ultimately still the same people on the inside. It's a great piece of foreshadowing for both Anakin's character and Vader's eventual redemption. Small moments like these are genuinely some of the most thematically profound in all of Star Wars.

You don't want to miss this deleted Star Wars scene. 👀 Before A New Hope begins, Luke reunites with his best friend Biggs Darklighter at Tosche Station in a scene that was ultimately cut from the final film. It gives Luke far more motivation to leave Tatooine and makes Biggs' fate later in the movie even more emotional. Do you think this scene should have stayed in the movie?

This scene from The Clone Wars where Anakin interrogates Poggle The Lesser has always been one of the most unexpectedly disturbing moments in the entire series IMO. Such a dark sequence, and one that It just goes to show that as much as Palpatine further pushed Anakin towards the Dark Side, it wasn't (and never was) 100% his decision to fully make. There was always a piece of Vader inside of Anakin Skywalker, and the brutality here absolutely shows it.

We seriously don't talk enough about how absolutely terrifying Darth Vader was in the finale for Maul: Shadow Lord enough. The fact that Vader was able to hold his own against Maul and two Jedi using nothing but slow, heavy movements genuinely shows how powerful he truly is. A scary reminder that even someone as fast as Maul ultimately can't outmatch Vader in terms of raw strength.

Have always loved this deleted scene from Revenge of the Sith where Padme and other concerned Senators directly confront Palpatine about his emergency powers and a way to potentially end the Clone Wars. Really puts into perspective how Padme was a founding member of The Rebellion, whereas Anakin looms behind Palpatine as democracy continues to fall. Palpatine telling Anakin that he believes Padme is hiding something also makes his eventual fall to the Dark Side even more emotionally complex. Wish this made the final cut of Episode III.

Although I understand why it didn’t make the final cut, this deleted scene from Attack of the Clones has always been super interesting to me. Really cool seeing droids in the Jedi Temple working purely for investigative purposes. Also makes Obi-Wan’s visit with Dexter Jettster a little less jarring.

Todd Whitting knew as well as anybody that this could be his last game as University of Houston's baseball coach. But Whitting wanted to make sure the weekend didn't become about him. That it still centered around the seniors playing their last college game. Whitting simply went over and kissed his wife Tara and spent a few minutes with his family after the final out. "This program will never be about me," Whitting tells PaperCity Magazine. "It's about the people in it. It's about the people involved in it. I've been that way since day one. "That's why you never see my picture on anything. I made it clear 16 years ago that I'm not the face of the program. . . The players are the face of the program. "I've been adamant about that for years. It's never going to be a spotlight on me."

In my career, KAT has been the only player that has always been on the team. It’s going to be very odd to cover a Wolves team that he’s not a part of. We’ll dive into the trade plenty — still wrapping my head around it. But for now, want to say I’m grateful for the respect he always treated me with — not a given in this industry, especially as independent media. Karl and I became some version of friends over the years. And for me, that will always be something that will stick with me as the years go on. ✌️KAT

In The Godfather Part II, a deleted scene shows two of Don Ciccio’s henchmen going to Vito’s mother after his older brother is killed, demanding that she hand the boy over. Years later, Vito returns to Sicily as a grown man and tracks down those same two henchmen in scenes that were also cut from the film, before finally confronting Don Ciccio himself. These scenes were cut for pacing, but they’re worth watching because they show how ruthless and methodical Vito was as a young man in carrying out his revenge — a side of him we rarely see in the finished films.

I've got enough experience doing this to know that it's probably going to be weeks rather than months for Mr. Atlas. Our wonderful house dog at Happy Doggo has had two huge operations and we've given him every chance imaginable. I've just noticed in the past few days that his energy levels have dropped. He's taken an extra hour in his bed. He's having longer lounges on the couch. His energy has dipped and his eyes are just that little bit cloudy. that has all been confirmed by blood work and lots of different tests. We are a rescue and ultimately we're judged on how many dogs we can save. I always knew that it would be a quality of life thing with Atlas and that ultimately we would not be able to give him a long life. I do happen to believe, though, that the work we do in making these dogs happy at the end of their lives is just as important as anything else we do at scale. Atlas is still at that stage where he has great spurts of energy and goes on walks and looks for attention from all his favorite humans. We'll wrap him up in cotton wool, pamper him, shower him in love and get him all the meds he can have. No stone will go unturned to make sure Atlas continues to live his dream life while he can. I always say that dogs live in the moment. Atlas can't remember his horrid times on the streets or his massive tumor that he carried around for years. All he knows is the love, attention, great food, and wonderful life he will have today. Every other day will be a bonus and we’ll be with him every step of the way ❤️

One thing I’m really hoping to see in #SpiderManBrandNewDay is a great transformation scene of Banner turning into The Hulk. One thing I loved about the 2008 movie is how they really leaned into it. The body horror aspect of it all, with Bruce’s bones breaking as the monster is unleashed. I genuinely hope they give us something good. It’s been a while since we have seen the savage monster. Might as well reintroduce him with a bang.

This was the part quoted by the ICJ today: "If you fail to call this a genocide. It is on you. It is a sin and a darkness you willingly embrace. Some have not called for a ceasefire… I feel sorry for you. We will be ok. Despite the immense blow we have endured, we will recover. We will rise and stand up again from the midst of destruction, as we have always done as Palestinians, although this is by far the biggest blow we have received in a long time. But again, for those who are complicit, I feel sorry for you. Will you ever recover from this? Your charity, your words of shock AFTER the genocide, won’t make a difference. Words of regret will not suffice for you. We will not accept your apology after the genocide. What has been done, has been done. I want you to look at the mirror… and ask: where was I when Gaza was going through a genocide."

“I abused drugs for five years, but I’m letting go of that lifestyle now because nothing good came out of it. To the young ones who are thinking about getting into drugs, don’t, as it is a complete waste of money and will ruin your life.” — A Ghanaian man and recovering drug addict shared his personal experience in a video, opening up about his five-year struggle with drug abuse, his decision to quit, and urging young people to stay away from drugs, describing the habit as destructive, costly, and ultimately unrewarding.

Anakin and Dooku’s rematch on Naboo isn’t just one of the best, most intense lightsaber duels to come from The Clone Wars, but it’s also some really dark foreshadowing for Revenge of the Sith. Palpatine using this confrontation as a secret way to see if Anakin’s skills now outmatch his current apprentice’s is absolutely diabolical. Dooku almost didn’t make it Episode III with Anakin moving like that.

Johnny Depp on why he prefers raising his daughter in Europe over America: It is 1999. Johnny Depp has just become a father, and he is already thinking about which country gives his daughter the best chance at a safe life. He opens with this: "The birth of my daughter gave me life... it just woke us up. It's the best thing. It's hard to explain, I think, to people that don't have kids." Then the conversation turns to where he is raising her. He says he prefers Europe, and he explains why: "To come back to the States and you turn on the television and it's just crime after crime after crime and guys going into schools and shooting each other up. It's insane." He contrasts this with his experience living in Europe: "They have great gun control laws over there... I believe we should follow their example." What strikes him most is not just the violence itself, but how normalised it has become in America. He is not speaking as a politician or an activist. He is speaking as a new father making a simple calculation about where his child will be safest. This was the same year as the Columbine High School massacre, one of the deadliest school shootings in American history at the time, which had shocked the entire world. When a parent chooses to raise their child on another continent specifically because of gun violence, that is a statement the history books will eventually have to reckon with. Over 25 years later, the debate is still going.

.Fabio Wardley and I discuss the controversial stoppage in his win over Joseph Parker: "It's much easier for everyone to look back at it in slow mo and go, 'That didn't clip him properly, and the one before did and didn't...' Ultimately, the ref is there in the heat of the moment... We have a responsibility, as fighters, to show the refs, look, I'm still in the fight, I'm still here, I'm still game, I can still exchange."
